V TacoBurritoAThon was the fifth iteration of TacoBurritoAThon, held on April 22, 2017.
Bidding
TacoBurritoAThon is finished accepting bids. Bids were eligible from any senator cities on the New World and all towns on the Old World. In addition, SMPs may bid if all members consent to it and the highest ranked city sends in the application.
On March 11, 2017, the four candidate cities were announced: Ravenna, Covina, Fort Yaxier, and Freedon. The Commissioner will meet with the candidates over the next couple of weeks to determine the final host.
On March 24, 2017, Ravenna was announced as the host of V TacoBurritoAThon in a close race.
Players
Players can apply to play here. Applicants will be in either the Taco or the (highly successful) Bacon team. Note that higher ranks will get priority. Players do get prizes - usually around $200-300 split among the winning team.
Events will be American Football, Spleef, Sumotori, Swimming, and Athletics, as before.

- Iron - Costs $10, mentioned as an official sponsor
- Gold - Costs $40, perks of Iron AND get an advertisement read out over the PA system.

Schedule
V TacoBurritoAThon will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017. The start time will be at 1900 UTC. This will be:
- NOON PDT (North American West Coast)
- 3 PM EDT (North American East Coast)
- 8 PM BST (Britain)
- 9 PM CEST (Most of Europe)
- 3 AM CST SUN (China/Singapore)
All events will be held in quick succession in the following order:
- Opening Ceremony
- Sumo presented by Fred Rail
- Marathon presented by Town Holdings
- Swimming presented by Manukau Transport
- Spleef presented by SoCompany
- American Football presented by IntraRail
- Closing Ceremony
It should take approximately 2-3 hours. Most likely the events will be held in the TacoBurritoAThon Discord. Mumble may be used as a secondary audio channel. You may join the TBAThon discord here. Note: If your Discord username is not your in-game username, you will be nicked to your in-game username.

Information about Forfeits
Forfeits are possible in TacoBurritoAThon. Contingency rules are set up.
- Teams have 30 minutes from when the event starts to supply players (i.e., immediately after the Opening Ceremony).
- After the grace period ends, the following scenarios may occur:
- If one team sent enough players and the other did not, it will count as a forfeit.
- If neither team sent enough players, then the event will get postponed unless either team clinched a championship, in which case it will get cancelled and TacoBurritoAThon will skip to the Closing Ceremony.
- All events must be played by Saturday, April 29 at 1700 UTC. Any events not played by then will be cancelled with the score being frozen.
- If, in this scenario, the score is frozen as a tie, the prize money is split among all players.
- Players must have played in at least one event in order to be eligible for the prize.

Ravenna is a Senator city in the northeastern New World. Its mayor is jphgolf4321, and it is located on the Northern Line at NE13.
Directions to Ravenna
- By Air: There are no airports near Ravenna.
- By Road: The B12 goes to Ravenna and connects it to St. Anna and New Phoenix.
- By Rail: Ravenna may be accessed by the Northern Line however it is not connected to the rest of the MRT system currently. Several warp rail services are also available to Ravenna.
