The A255, formerly the B255, is an A-road linking Nymphalia and Padagonia to the A360.
Route
The A255 is a dual carriageway road with four lanes, having two in each direction. Much of the road runs through the town of Nymphalia, connecting its districts as well as the Windus Aura Airfield.
This road begins at the A360, with the Kel Bridge, a bridge dedicated to and built by Kel5. It then goes to Padagonia, crossing RaiLinQ and MRT Northern and Eastern lines in the process. A small bike rest stop is available under the tracks of RaiLinQ. It then takes a left turn into Nymphalia, going parallel with RaiLinQ and the MRT. Upon reaching Cetisy, the road is then turned into the Nymphic Highway, with a service road in the city proper going parallel. A tunnel is present in Stellia, and an exit is present in Windus that goes straight to the airfield. The road then merges and ends in Iriyane Loop in Windus, Nymphalia.
History
Parts of the plan for the A255 had existed years prior to its creation as the B235 and B236 during the construction of the A230 (later the A360), with the former being the primary road connection and the latter serving as a trunk road to Nymphalia. While Kel5 and Melecie (then known as SoaPuffball) had plans for a road connection, those were held off due to lack of contact with the then-mayor of Padagonia, sarahtheskier and both Kel5 and _Mossie, the other builder of the B230, leaving the server, among other reasons. Those rough plans were held off until much later in 2021. Due to this, all that existed of the B255 was its exit in the A230 and a bridge built by Kel5.
With Wipeout111 as the new mayor of Padagonia, permissions were obtained on 3 September 2021, with kingsnake volunteering to assist with the road. The B235 and B236 plans were also merged at this point, accidentally being named B255 instead of B235. The road was taken to the September 2021 GSM, where it was approved by the admods. Construction for the road started on the 12th of September, with Missa_Solemnis stacking the first section of road and Oshawott_12 assisting.
The road was finished on October, with construction of Windus Aura Airfield in one of its exits following. During that month's GSM, the road was upgraded into an A-road.
