The A68, also known as the Frostburn Highway, is an A-road between Tembok and the A62 that connects the southwest Epsilon region to the wider road network. This road was initially planned and largely built by Melecie, with sections being built by Yellowitcher, lightshatterz, and LesVidamo.

The A68 parallels the MRT Western and Southern Lines for much of its length, providing access to numerous towns within the savannas and tundras it crosses.

Route

The A68 begins in Tembok in a roundabout interchange. It then travels south and then east, crossing empty drylands until reaching Idk which provides an endpoint for the B69 which leads back up north. From here, it goes underground, passing through the dense city of Rizalburg and crossing a river until reemerging east of WS33 station.

After entering the tundra, the highway continues downwards, passing through Pascal, Hazenne, SW41, and the B683 until it turns east to parallel the Southern Line, with exits in Snoqualmie, Haguenau, Sansvikk, and Port Dupont until entering the woods where it will interchange with the A62.

History

Melecie's initial plans for the A68 started on late 2021, a few weeks after they finished the A255. Despite permissions for Haguenau not being obtained until close to the GSM, the road was approved on the January 2022 GSM. Construction started from Tembok after, with the stretch from it to D63 Station (now OW42) being completed. After the Desert Line extension was opened, Melecie shifted their focus to the town of Hazenne, which was founded at the then-endpoint of the road.

Construction resumed on June that year, with jay_planner, mayor of Haguenau, taking over the construction of the southern segment. The B682 to New Singapore was also completed that month, with the B683 to Himiko following the next month. After this, construction stalled for a longer time due to Melecie and jay_planner pursuing other projects.

LesVidamo proposed an extension of the road on February 2023, extending the road from Sansvikk and past Port Dupont to meet with the also proposed extension of the A62, part of their wider road plans in the Heart Lake region. The roads were proposed and approved on May, and construction of this section was mostly finished by August. On December, construction of the original route of A68 resumed once again, with lightshatterz taking over the southern section from jay_planner and Melecie returning to the project on the same month. The two formerly separate sections of the road were connected on 16 December. After this, Melecie started polishing formerly unrealistic portions of the road, rebuilding a large stretch of road east of Idk.
