AcceleRail is a HSR line being tested, and undergoing approval from admods since while pistons are used in the design, they serve exclusively as accelerators in the beginning and not as the source of speed throughout. This tech allows HSR lines to be able to automatically slow minecarts down enough to turn or go up and then reaccelerate afterwards, and to allow a continuous multi-station journey without the need to disembark, re-embark, manually reaccelerate each time. The project has been abandoned since it was condemned by admods in 2015.

- Completely automated: no need for player intervention besides entering and exiting cart.
- Able to travel up slopes and turns without the need to remain at the slower speed.
- Fairly compact system: width of 7 for bidirectional lines.
- Compatible with other minecart systems.
