BART Airlines is an airline company founded by _Kastle in 2014. The parent company of BART Airlines is Bay Area Rapid Transit, and BART Airlines holds the subsidiary of BARTiCopter. BART Airlines currently runs flights to both the new and old worlds. The airline has a hub for each world. The old world hub is the MRT Regional Airport, and the new world hub is Achowalogen Takachsin-Covina International Airport. The MRT Regional Airport is a server-owned property operated by BART Airline's parent company, Bay Area Rapid Transit, while ATC is fully owned and operated by Bay Area Rapid Transit. The airline also has a number of focus cities, including Whitechapel, Treplöw, Vermilion, Stanwood, Covina, and Achowalogen Takachsin. The airline's slogan is "The Best Airline for Rapid Travel."
BART Airlines, along with its parent company BART, were acquired by Feline Holdings in October 2020. Despite being owned by Feline Holdings, BART Airlines is not a part of Intra, Feline Holdings' primary transportation division.
History
BART Airlines was founded as a spin-off of Bay Area Rapid Transit in November of 2014. MinecraftYoshi26 approached _Kastle, as he had just taken over the MRT Regional Airport. Yoshi informed Kastle that he needed a flight to run from MRT Regional to Treplöw in order to facilitate an episode of The Amazing Race. _Kastle agreed to opperated the flight, and used an abandoned plane at the MRT Regional Airport to run the flight. The flight continues to serve Treplöw and Stanwood, and is the only plane of its type in the BART Airlines Livery.
BART Airlines continued to operate as an airline, mostly running small aircraft to remote airports. In the beginning of 2015, the growth of BART Airlines became stagnant. Little flights were added, and no documentation was created to account for added flights. However, times began to turn around for the airline in February 2016.
At the February 2016 GSM, _Kastle's plans for a major airport were finally approved by the staff. _Kastle promptly pasted the airport, known as ATC, into his town of Covina. Kastle freely gave away gates to airlines on a first-come, first-serve basis. Though this worked in most instances, there were numerous occasions in which an airlines failed to complete flight routes from the airport. Rather than risk contracting another airline to complete abandoned routes, Kastle decided to use BART Airlines to complete the flights. Soon, ATC had a significant number of flights that were either visibly operated by BART, or unsigned, but still BART operated.
After finishing his work on the Utopia Metro, Kastle began to search for a new project, and ultimately decided to seriously enter the airline business. On July 19th, 2016 _Kastle built a new plane, now the largest in the BART Airlines Livery. He then purchased a gate at Whitechapel Sky Harbor and constructed a flight to ATC. The next day, BART was awarded Partner status and three gates at Vermilion Gateway Airport, owned by chiefbozx. The destinations of these flights were determined to be Elecna Bay, MRT Regional Airport, and Hummingbird Islands Regional Airport. Additionally, on the same day, Kastle created a flight from Crystal City to the MRT Regional Airport.
BART, including BART Airlines, was acquired by Feline Holdings after _Kastle left the MRT in October 2020.
Divisions
BART Airlines is comprised of two distinct divisions, the Airplane Division, and the Helicopter Division. The Airline Division is operated by BART Airlines, while the Helicopter Division is operated by BARTiCopter, a subsidiary of BART Airlines. Both are integral parts of the BART service network.
Airplane Division
The Airplane Division is responsible for handling all flights using airplanes. This includes duties such as securing gates, constructing planes, and setting plane warps. The Airplane Division is mainly based out of ATC. It operates multiple different types of aircraft. Aircraft is generally chosen based on the size of the destination airports along a flight route. The airplane division is also responsible for maintaining planes, as well as providing ground service, including refueling, catering, and luggage services. The airplane division also is responsible for recruiting, hiring, and training pilots. The airplane division, however, is not responsible for handling security services on flights. Security services in-flight are provided by the BART Police.
Helicopter Division
The Helicopter Division is operated by BARTiCopter, a BART Airlines Subsidiary. Though these helicopter flights run under the name BARTiCopter, they are operated by the BART Police, use BART Police helicopters equipped with lights, sirens, guns, and missiles, and sometimes fly to BART Police stations. Though they are availible for use to the general public, BARTiCopter is primarily used as a transport system for the BART Police. Therefore, patrons can expect an extremely high level of security. BARTiCopter flights are also sometimes shut down due to BART Police emergencies, such as manhunts. BARTiCopters tend to be based at ATC, and generally fly to areas not served by airports. The BART Police station in Espil is a prime example of this.
Flights
Hospitality
In-Flight Service
BART Airlines prides itself in hospitality by limiting the amount of patrons per flight. This helps to provide better service to customers. A standard BART flight to a major airport can accommodate up to a total of 6 passengers, two flight attendants, and a pilot. At least one flight attendant must have flight certification in case of the unlikely the event that the pilot becomes incapacitated. In-flight amenities include complimentary beverages, full-service world-class meals, state-of-the-art entertainment systems, and a large luxurious restroom. Flight attendants are always happy to accommodate reasonable requests from passengers to make their flight more enjoyable.
Airport Lounges
BART Airlines cares deeply about the comfort of its customers while waiting to board flights. Because of this, BART establishes airport lounges at airports whenever possible. Currently operational lounges include Achowalogen Takachsin-Covina International Airport and Vermilion Gateway Airport. Lounges are equipped with a full service bar, as well as complimentary Hors d'oeuvres and comfortable seating areas. The ATC location also offers a Starbucks, as well as elevator access to the gate from the lounge. The executive terminal facilities at ATC are also open to BART patrons, and include a restaurant, computer access, preferred vehicle parking, televisions, mini-bars, and a shuttle service that opperates regularly between ATC's main terminals and the executive terminal.
