Big Brother 4 is the fourth season of the game show series Big Brother. The season premiered on June 22, 2019 and ended with a season finale on July 13, 2019. This season featured 17 houseguests. MinecraftYoshi26 was the host. On Day 21, daltdisneyland won the game in a 8-1 vote against Echohue. The series lasted for 21 days. megascatterbomb won MRT's Favorite Houseguest and mine_man_ won Host's Favorite Houseguest. They each won $300 respectively.

This season marks the first double-season Big Brother winner.

Format

The contestants, referred to as "houseguests," take part in several compulsory challenges that determine who will win luxuries and power in the house each week (each week may not be a real week, but rather a game week). At the start of each week, the houseguests compete in the Head of Household (HoH) competition. The winner of the HoH competition will select two houseguests to be nominated for eviction. Each week, six houseguests are selected to compete in the Power of Veto (PoV) competition: the reigning HoH, their two nominees and three houseguests selected by random draw. The winner of the PoV competition wins the right to either revoke the nomination of one of the nominated houseguests or leave them as is; if the Veto winner uses this power, the HoH must immediately nominate another houseguest for eviction. The PoV winner is also immune from being named as the replacement nominee. All houseguests vote to evict one of the two nominees, with the exception of the nominees and the Head of Household, who is only allowed to vote in the event of a tie, in which case they must do so publicly. This compulsory vote is conducted privately. The nominee with the majority of votes will be evicted from the house, after which the cycle begins again. Houseguests may voluntarily leave the house at any time and those who break the rules may be ejected from the house. The last nine evicted houseguests will form the Big Brother jury and vote for the winner during the season finale. Breaking promises and making alliances are allowed in this game. Typically, they are used to advance one game, and hurt others'.

Challenges occur separately, where each has a time frame to be submitted. Voting is also an open time window, where votes are to be cast and are sent to MinecraftYoshi26 privately. Houseguests are allowed to change their vote until all votes are in. If a houseguest does not vote in the time frame and makes no contact with MinecraftYoshi26, they can possibly be ejected from the game. There is no house to be locked in. All social interactions happen through any means, and the game is a side-game to daily server goings.

This season's main theme centered on music.

Encore

From week 1 to 7, the second and third placements in the Head of Household competitions would be rewarded. The houseguest in second place would have a chance an at 'encore', in which they get a second chance by being able to make a choice between two boxes: one having a power and one with a punishment. The one the houseguest did not choose would be available next week and the one taken would be replaced by a new power or punishment. The houseguest in third place would be the 'Audience of the Encore' and would get the choice of knowing the prize the Encore winner received or the identity of the Encore winner.

Notes

• Note 1:      Houseguests voted for who they would want to become the first Head of Household. The person with the most votes, Echohue, became the first Head of Household.
• Note 2: Each week, the second and third place finishers in the Head of Household competition won an Encore prize. The winner of the Audience of the Encore, third place, is in italics.
• Note 3:      On Day 1, daltdisneyland won the Encore prize and chose the prize that allowed the entry of a new houseguest, cal76. He would be immune, ineligible to compete in challenges, and ineligible to vote for the week.
• Note 4: This week was a triple eviction week. Remaining houseguests competed in a second Head of Household and second Power of Veto competition alongside the normal Head of Household competition. The scores would then be saved. Following the first eviction, the remaining houseguests were immediately told the next Head of Household, nominations were made subsequently, the Veto ceremony took place, and an eviction occurred, culminating in a second and third eviction for the week, in 24 hours after the first eviction. In the second round, three houseguests are nominated for eviction and the voting houseguests cast their vote to evict and the two houseguests with the highest number of votes would be evicted.
• Note 5: For coming second place in the Head of Household competition, Conric005 won the Encore prize and chose a punishment, where he became a third nominee for eviction. That nomination is put in bold.
• Note 6: For coming second place in the Head of Household competition, daltdisneyland won the Encore prize and chose a punishment, where he became ineligible to vote for the next two evictions. Due to him winning the Head of Household in Week 4, the punishment was null for that eviction.
• Note 7:      For coming second place in the Head of Household competition, Seshpenguin won the ability to become Co-HoH in a week and chose to use it in the second half of the triple eviction, earning the right to make one of the nominations and replacement, if necessary. Seshpenguin's nomination is shown in bold.
• Note 8: This week was a double eviction week. Remaining houseguests competed in a second Head of Household and Power of Veto competition alongside the normal one. The scores would then be saved. • Note 9: Due to all Houseguests failing to complete the Head of Household competition within the time limit, houseguests were given questions that were supposed to pertain to a future competition; however, houseguests were actually voting on nominees in one of the questions. Houseguests were then informed that they were all named Head of Household, and their votes were tallied. sesese9 and Vickiposa, with both four nominations respectively, were nominated for eviction. The houseguest who wins the Power of Veto competition will name the replacement nominee if they choose to remove a houseguest from the block. The rest of the houseguests not on the block will be then given the power to evict either of the two nominees. mine_man_ won the Power of Veto and chose to use the Power of Veto and his renomination is shown in bold.
• Note 10:      For coming second place in the Head of Household competition, daltdisneyland won the Encore prize and chose a prize, where he had the ability to make themselves and two other houseguests immune for the week. He opted to use it and chose to make Echohue and mine_man_ safe, alongside himself.
• Note 11: Week 8's eviction was an instant eviction. Immediately after mine_man_'s nominations, the houseguests were instructed to cast their votes to evict. No Power of Veto competition was held.
• Note 12: As Head of Household, daltdisneyland was forced to break the tie on Day 18.
• Note 13: During the finale, the jury members voted for which finalist should win.
