Bus transit
Bus transit is an alternative method of transport on the MRT server. Buses are made to connect cities and towns together by roadways. On the Old World, most lines start or end at the Spawn City Bus Depot, however. not all lines do this.

- 1. ^ Airports are counted as part of a city. If a city is served only by an airport -> city route, the city is not counted.
- 2. ^ Only including routes with 2 active destinations in 2 different cities. If a route goes from one part of a city to another (ex. the IntraBus route from Whiteley - Turing Square to Whiteley - IntraRail station), the route is not counted.

Route numbering
All buses on the server are numbered with their route, which distinguishes them from other routes. The following system is used to assign route numbers:
All bus routes must be owned by an overarching transit authority. These transit authorities then receive a two-letter code that distinguishes them from other companies. These companies will then be listed below alphabetically by prefix.
Once a prefix is determined, the route number is assigned. Companies may devise their own numbering system, however all routes must follow these rules:
- Numbers must be positive integers (1, 2, 3...)
- Numbers may not be less than 1
- Numbers may not be greater than 99
- Branched routes are allowed, but they must use letters A, B, C, etc at the end, and these branches must use the letters in sequential order (so you can't have route 3Q without first having 3A though 3P).
- Numbers do not need to be in sequence (you can have a route 68 without needing routes 1 through 67).
- If a number is used that is less than 10, it shall be zero-padded (01 through 09 shall be used rather than 1 through 9). This only applies to signs. On the wiki, use
{{bus}}
to distinguish your company's lines.
Then, the route number looks like this: XXNN, where XX is the company prefix and NN is the route number.
Routes managed by the Spawn City Transit Authority do not have a letter prefix and are instead simply numbered 1 through 99.
Companies may also request a color scheme used to identify their lines.
