Carnoustie is a Governor city in the western part of the New World. The town was founded by CaptainObi at 27th of July, 2018.

Founding

It started when CaptainObi got [Member] and decided to start a town. He roamed around for a bit and looked on Dynmap. He found a nice little spot south of Svobondy, He tped to RLCrafted and flew for a while. Once he found his spot he built a small wooden hut and called the town Carnoustie based on his trip to the real life town of the same name a week before. TheSubway Came by and told him that the hut was really bad. He helped CaptainObi build a British house.

Town Ranks

Carnoustie rapidly expanded to get councillor with an additional block of flats. Once councillor was achieved CaptainObi built CGC and finished off old town.

City Ranks

Another period of rapid expansion led to Carnoustie's current quest for premier.

Project SAWS

Project SAWS (or Project Summer Autumn Winter Spring) is a project initially thought of by Johngi and approved by CaptainObi to redo Carnoustie every season (in real life) to make it feel like its actually in that season, like Central Park in Central City.

In Winter, all the leaves are removed from deciduous trees and replaced with sticks and branches, and the ground and roofs are covered with snow realistically (i.e holes are left for tire tracks, more snow on Mt. Obi and in parks, less snow on paths). Mt. Obi also becomes a skiing resort and gets custom made firework shows by Johngi. Winter starts in December and ends in March.

In Spring, all the branches and sticks are replaced with leaves, all the snow is taken away, and quite a lot of plants start appearing. Mt. Obi is turned back into a hiking hill. Spring starts in March and ends in June.

In Summer, trees are filled with fruits, and paths start to become slightly colourful with the fruits falling off trees. Summer starts in June and ends in September.

In Autumn, deciduous trees have their leaves replaced with brown and yellow blocks and are slightly stripped of their leaves. Paths and roads start to be littered with these colours too. Autumn starts in September and ends in December.

Here is a log of all the transitions between seasons, including dates and people helping:
