I don't think staff should be abusing their powers just to assert what they think is right over non-staff, in this case. This is an open wiki editable by all members, after all, and the page is not necessarily containing any important information that requires it to be protected from general members. It got protected because Yoshi was throwing a fit about me wanting to put my name before Earack's on the owner listing for Horizon National. I didn't think it was that big of a deal but apparently Yoshi spent an hour making the page and somehow that allows him to dictate how everything goes on the publicly-managed category page, according to a discussion in Mumble last night. I agree it shouldn't be protected, but why is it such a big deal that your name is before Earack's anyway? This is an entirely petty and inconsequential debate that both parties have overblown to the point of ridiculousness. It was just something I did because I was the primary builder and manager of the airport. Yeah, it was petty, but I had that order on pretty much everything else I'd written up about the airport. My apologies. Soleurs (talk) 10:00, 21 October 2016 (EDT)

The full story is this: I made this page a while back to keep airport lists organized alphabetically to keep it uniform. Last night, after I told Soleurs to stop changing it, he kept changing it, and that seemed like the only way to stop him temporarily. Also, Soleurs, you're acting like I'm saying people don't get to have their airport on here if I choose so, which is false. I'm not dictating everything. I'm keeping the page organized and orderly so it is uniform. Additionally, I had to protect it because I knew that if I didn't, an editing war would ensue, so no, I don't think I overblew to the point of ridiculousness. So before someone exclaims mod abuse and using it like it's a buzz word every time something happens, learn the whole story first please. MinecraftYoshi26 (talk) 15:40, 21 October 2016 (EDT)
