Cove Metropolitan University is a public research university located in Sunshine Cove. The university operates six academic colleges, the College of Business Management, the College of Arts, the College of Engineering, the College of Law, the College of Letters and Science, and the College of Education and Information Studies.
Campus
The university's main campus lies on the northern edge of Downtown Sunshine Cove. The campus is very "interwoven" with the rest of the northern Downtown area as there are not many markers separating the campus from the rest of the Downtown area. All of campus is within a 2 block radius from Hope Street. All outdoor parts of campus are designated as part of the public realm.
Buildings
The university operates tweleve buildings, this includes the College of Business, College of Engineering, College of Arts, College of Law, the Science building, the Math building, the Humanities building, the University Village, Jarvis Suites, Dundas Dorms, Oak Dorms, and the University Library.
Campus Sustainability and Transportation
The university has been actively working to reduce carbon emissions and energy usage on campus. The campus has replaced many systems on campus to reduce energy use. The university has also worked with the Department of Water and Power (DWP) to use recycled water on all campus landscaping. The campus is served by the RapidLink Metro Red and Purple lines at CMU/Hope station that is located below the University Village building. RapidLink bus line 8 also stops on Hope Street in front of the School of Law and School of Engineering buildings.
Off-campus Facilities
The university announced plans in 2023 to open a new medical school inside Cove Metro Hospital that is located two blocks north of campus.
