Cyprus is one of the three indigenous villages of the Trojan Valley, which was subject to an armed struggle between the City-State of Kitania and the Lacledic Republic before the Free State of Kitania's invasion of the valley. The two powers often fought for control over Cyprus as part of their campaign to secure control over the entire valley, however now the City-State of Kitania seeks to defend the village, along with the rest of the valley, from an invasion by the Free State of Kitania.

Background

Cyprus is a hunting village located at the southwest of the Trojan Valley. Its inhabitants survive through hunting animals in the nearby forests and reside in small dwellings within the village. They are led by Mayor Lanstorm, who can be found in the Village Hall. To the northeast is the farming village of Trojan Village and to the far northeast is the mining village of Athenia.

As with the other indigenous villages of Trojan Valley, life for the residents of Cyprus was quiet before the emergence of the City-State of Kitania and Lacledic Republic, both of whom set claim to the valley and built their forts on opposing sides of the valley. As the two states battled for the valley's control, each attempted to capture Cyprus, alongside the other villages, which was occupied by the troops of whichever side was controlling the village at the moment.

As the village closest to the Lacledic settlement at Outpost Troy, Cyprus was usually the first village captured by advancing Lacledic troops at the beginning of a battle, while Kitanian troops sought the village to aid in their offensive on Outpost Troy.

Since the invasion of the Free State of Kitania into the Trojan Valley and the retreat of the Lacledic Republic, Cyprus is now a point of contention between Kitanian and Free Kitanian troops, as Free Kitanian troops seek to take control of the villages before advancing northward into the Kitanian settlement of Northwatch.
