Weekly Update, 6/2/2017

Hello!

Apologies for not writing earlier this week. This shall be a Weekend Update! (not to be confused with Saturday Night Live's skit ;p)

As you know, submissions have closed for Batch 13, and we are officially entered and our city is currently being voted on by admods. We will find out if we receive a Senator promotion on June 15th. Wish us luck!

Also, we're pleased to announce that we're currently negotiating plans with IntraRail for a warp train line to go through Dabecco. You may see their trains in our city in the coming months!

Lastly, our parks and trees project is nearing completion! We'd like to give a massive thank you to _InDev_ for all his commitment to our city and the parks/trees project. His hard work will not go unnoticed. Thank you!

This weekly update is rather short, and this happens to be the end of it!

As always, we're listening! Send us an email at [email protected] or drop us a line in the Suggestion Box at City Hall. We will reply to you!

That does it for us here from the city administration. Have a great weekend!

Weekly Update, 5/21/2017

Hello all!

I apologize for the absence of this past week's Weekly Update - we kind of got busy lol. But now that we're back, let's get right to it!

First, I'm pleased to announce that the brand-new CherryTech Headquarters opened ahead of schedule this week! Come check it out at 5 3rd Street! It's a fantastic building, and we've got wonderful people working there!

Second, I'm also excited to announce that we have resubmitted Dabecco for City Rank Candidate Batch #13! (We're running for Senator). Results won't be out until early-mid June, but we think we've got it down this time - wish us luck!

Next, we're also excited to announce the acquisition of station  F8  on the MRT Forest Line! We think that adding a third station to our city can only help us thrive! It's been determined already that this station will be a "residential" district, therefore at this time we are accepting bids for builders interested in building houses or apartment towers in this area! This section has not been connected to the city yet, so please hang tight while our Director of Roads gets things set up. Thank you, Narnia17!

Also, if you check out our current roads, you'll notice that we're adding parks and trees to the grids! This is something that really held us back from promotion in Batch 12, so we're very happy to have this new addition. Our Supervisor of Construction is hard at work with this project! Thank you, _InDev_! We've also added street lights to the sidestreets in Dabecco. This was also much needed.

Finally, we have added a suggestion box to the lobby level in City Hall! Anybody is welcome to submit their ideas for the city in this box. Also, a reminder to our residents and business owners that you now have 3 different places to store your tools:

  • The Storage Center, located in the basement of City Hall
  • The Mail Center, located at 6 City Center inside the City Circle
  • The In-Ground Storage Facility, located on 1st Street near  F9 .

Please take note of the buildings' hours.

And as always, we're listening! Send us an email at [email protected] or drop us a line in the Suggestion Box at City Hall. We will reply to you!

That does it for us here from the city administration. Have a great week!

Weekly Update, 5/8/2017

Hello, everyone!

Welcome to our second weekly update. We have a couple of important announcements that we'd like to share with you, so let's jump right in!

First of all, the new CherryTech Headquarters building exterior has been completed. The building itself is currently still closed so that we can finish interior construction, but currently we will be having a mailbox center for our store managers, an entire floor dedicated just to our store designs and products, and corporate offices. This HQ should be opened to the public by Monday, May 22.

Second, we are nearing 60% completion with our street lights project. This project will add street lights to side streets in the city (a.k.a not Main Street) to make them safer at night and also to add to the overall appeal of the city. Also, we are currently assigning addresses to buildings. If they seem out of order, that's because we've taken the current builds and separated them into odd and even addresses (based on what side of the street they are on). We apologize if this will cause any confusion for you.

Third, we need parks! And to be honest, I am downright awful at building and designing parks! Our Supervisor of Construction should be contributing soon, but if you are skilled in parks and trees, drop us a line! Send me a message either by using /mail send or send me a letter to my city mailbox located in the city's mail center, located at 6 City Center (located with the buildings surrounded by the ring road that connects to B676.

Also, for you coffee addicts, come check out our new coffee shop! Bob's Brewery of Beans, located on E Street, serves a variety of coffee roasts, including its "Patriotic Roast" and "Classic Roast". In addition to selling coffee, they also sell some delicious food like hot cross buns and donuts! They're a must-visit for Dabecco, so go and check them out. Also, for you fine dining folks, check out the "A Taste of Pearl Coast" restaurant located next to Bob's Brewery. They serve some fine food at some great prices!

Additionally, we've expanded the Mail Center since the last weekly update. Mailboxes now go up to #341 (meaning there are 41 boxes). Head on down to the mail center today and check out our available boxes! And for those of you who don't want a mailbox to store stuff, we also have our In-Ground Storage Facility located on 1st Street near the  F9  station entrances. The path down to the building is a little hard to spot, just so you know!

And last but not least, a reminder to everyone that City Hall, the Mail Center, the Center for City Officials, and the Visitor Center will all be CLOSED beginning at 5:00 PM EST (this time has changed since last week) on Saturday, 5/13/17 to 7:00 PM EST on Sunday, 5/14/17. We're closing our city buildings in honor of the U.S. Mother's Day (5/14), and we want you to spend time with your mothers and not us! Please /mail send Sirots a message if you will need to access any of these facilities during this period.

And as always, we're listening! Send us an email at [email protected] or drop us a line in the Suggestion Box at City Hall. We will reply to you!

That does it for us here from the city administration. Have a great week!

Weekly Update, 5/1/2017

Greetings all!

We have an exciting week coming up for us. We are currently in the process of adding street lights to the side streets in Dabecco (something much needed right now). That should be finished by the end of this week. We also are building a new corporate HQ for the New Age Technology Corporation, and we're working hard to furnish the interior of buildings that really need it.

Some of you may know already that, unfortunately, Dabecco has been denied Senator yet again, but we were extremely close to a promotion. This is a significant improvement for us, as we have failed completely in past batches. With the improvements mentioned above, we are basically guaranteed Senator for Batch 13! Wish us luck, and #Dab4Dabecco!

We're also very happy to announce that Narnia17 has joined the administration as our Director of Roads! He improved our road system greatly in a 14-hour work period with almost no breaks. We're pretty sure we made him lose his mind, so we thank him greatly for all his work, and we're happy to welcome him aboard!

I'd also like to remind residents and business owners who have a mailbox in our Mail Center that you're more than welcome to drop us a message any time you want! Please take note of our administration's mailbox numbers:

  • 301 - Sirots (Mayor)
  • 302 - hnt (Deputy Mayor)
  • 303 - _InDev_ (Supervisor of Construction)
  • 304 - Ben6331 (Director of Public Works)
  • 305 - camelfantasy (Administrative Assistance)
  • 308 - 34lynx72 (Secretary to the Mayor)
  • 309 - Owl356 (Director of the Mail Center)
  • 310 - MIKE24DUDE (Director of Township Security)

Also don't forget to check out our online mail center directory at bit.ly/Dabecco_Mail_Dir

Our last announcement is a reminder that Town Hall, the Mail Center, and the Visitor Center will all be CLOSED beginning at 6:00 PM EST on Saturday, 5/13/17 to 7:00 PM EST on Sunday, 5/14/17. We're closing our city buildings in honor of the U.S. Mother's Day (5/14), and we want you to spend time with your mothers and not us! Please /mail send Sirots a message if you will need to access any of these facilities during this period.

As always, we're listening! Send me an email at [email protected] or drop us a line in the Suggestion Box at Town Hall. We will reply to you!

Have a great week!
