Federated States of the New World/Laws/Autonomous Region Act 2020

Definition

An autonomous region is defined as an active region of the MRT New World which is part of the Federated States that contains towns or active settlements, and has its own autonomous government freely able to make laws and decisions within the region as a whole, usually doing so within its own Discord server comprising the members of the region.

Region Recognition

  1. Regions may be recognized via a motion in the Federated States Discord server, in which said motion must include:
    1. the name of the region in question
    2. its location in the MRT New World
    3. its current leadership
    4. the current member cities of said region
  2. Regions must satisfy a number of criteria as set out in this article:
    1. Regions must consist of at least two cities, with at least two unique mayors
    2. Regions may consist of only F.S member cities

Laws

  1. Member cities within a region have the right to withdraw from said region at any given time.
  2. Regions must have a discord server for the discussion of items regarding the state.
    1. Regions may also have a wiki page on the Minecart Rapid Transit Wiki to provide other users with information about said region.
  3. Regions must have an active F.S judiciary member who is not a member of that region present in said Discord server as stated in article 5.9.
  4. Discord servers must be public for any member to join. Regions unreasonably restricting access may be subject to Article 1.7.
  5. Regions may operate autonomously, and run elections/create laws for the whole region. In the case of a conflict, F.S laws are supreme.
    1. Additionally, all regions within the F.S must comply with all current F.S laws.
  6. Regions may be removed with a vote in Parliament. In the case of a removal of a region, the member cities will remain part of the F.S.
  7. A channel to discuss affairs within each region will be opened in the FS Discord server, and the administrations of said region will receive the “MANAGE_MESSAGES” permission in that channel
