AN ACT to close a number of loopholes that exist in our judicial laws.
- Definitions
- “Corruption” shall be defined as the misuse of public office for private or personal advantage.
- “Bribery” shall be defined as the receiving or offering of undue support by or to any individual in order to influence behavior that the recipient would otherwise not alter.
- Laws
- Corruption and bribery are not permitted.
- Judges may recuse themselves from a case if they so wish. Parliament may also force a justice to recuse from a case.
- In the event that all justices recuse themselves, a temporary justice may be appointed via nomination and then parliamentary approval for the duration of the case.
- Judges may not be a part of the prosecution or defence in a case without recusing.
- Records of judicial cases may not be deleted.
- Content editing of any wiki pages containing FS laws without consent from parliament is not permitted.
- The judiciary nomination period must last for 5 days and each member will be able to nominate two other members.
- Serving and former justices may not reveal information posted in the private judiciary channels without the approval of all serving justices and the person who posted the information.
- Anyone who campaigns on behalf of a member for the position of judge with or without their approval may be muted for no more than 72 hours.
