Happy HalloWishes: A Grim Grinning Ghosts Spooktacular in the Sky, known shortly as HalloWishes, is a fireworks show that was presented at the Lillian Disney Amphitheatre in Konawa. The show is loosely based on the popular Haunted Mansion attraction and includes vocal appearances by Disney Villains. The show was sponsored by IntraAir.

Happy HalloWishes: A Grim Grinning Ghosts Spooktacular in the Sky first premiered on the MTA server on October 1, 2014, and was showing on the MRT Server from October 8, 2016, to October 31, 2016. The show has since been discontinued.

Background

The original show was created in 2005 by a team at Walt Disney Creative Entertainment to create a dedicated fireworks show for the "Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party" at the Walt Disney World Resort.

History

The original iteration of this show in Minecraft was created by Soleurs in September 2014. The original show was designed by MTA Creative Entertainment, a division of Frontier Group on the old Minecraft Transit Authority. It ran from October 1, 2014 until October 31, 2014, and was never shown again due to the closure of that server in July 2015. In July 2016, Soleurs decided that it was time to create a new home for his shows on the MRT Server, and commissioned mustang_guy to create a new fireworks amphitheatre to present these shows in for Konawa. On 23 September 2016, Soleurs announced that the first show would be HalloWishes.

The premise of HalloWishes is that the residents of the Haunted Mansion, led by the mansion's "Ghost Host," are preparing for a celebration of Halloween. The 999 happy haunts, called by Madame Leota, are the first to arrive as the opening lines of "Grim Grinning Ghosts" are played, followed by a pop band version. After the Ghost Host welcomes guests, the mood is set with "This is Halloween" from The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Then the guests are serenaded with the spirits' special brand of karaoke (which the script calls "scary-oke music; just a few tombs [tunes] we've 'dug up' for the occasion") in a medley of Disney's spookiest music. Later, some of Disney's most infamous villains join in, starting with Ursula from The Little Mermaid "plopping in" on the party and adding her own musical mix to the festivities. Jafar from Aladdin and Oogie Boogie from The Nightmare Before Christmas soon follow, and arriving last but far from the least is Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty, showing how Halloween should really be celebrated. The party ends with the "scream-along" grand finale.
