IVY's airside tram system consisted of three lines serving 14 stations across the 6 concourses.

Ilirea-Vermilion International Airport (IVY) was a large international airport built between the cities of Ilirea and Vermilion, at XW17 Station as a part of the Ilirea-Vermilion-Yarrow Park Shared Municipality. The airport had 84 gates spread across 6 concourses, and accommodated virtually any kind of aircraft and destination. The airport had broke ground ahead of schedule and was completed following the February GSM.

Removal

During the March GSMs, there were new rules to prevent airports from taking up too much space in the New World. As a result, IVY was removed. The two cities built their own individual airports later on which were much smaller in size. The following, therefore, is the state of the airport before its demolition.

Layout

IVY airport was split into nine buildings. The airside campus had six concourses, lettered A through F, and a main terminal area for baggage claim, security, and check-in areas. An elaborate system of trams connected the concourses and the main terminal.

Concourses A and B

The western side of the airport contained Concourses A and B, which were used primarily for airlines not in SkyTransit. Concourses A and B were each split into North and South Satellites. The South Satellite of each concourse housed gates 1-3, and the North Satellite housed the remainder of the gates. Runway access to taxiways ran between the satellites, with the main taxiway separating Concourses A and B. Concourse A had 11 gates, and Concourse B had 7. Because of the position of the runway, gates were only on one side of these concourses.

Concourses C and D

The central area of the airport was exclusively for use by the two major airlines that serve it: Ilirea Airlines and Vermilion Airways were the only users of Concourses C and D, respectively. Concourse C has 12 gates, and Concourse D has 20. This means Vermilion Airways was the largest holder of gates at the IVY airport, with a 23.8% share of gates.

Concourse C is the only concourse where tram use was not required. Concourse C also contained the Ilirea Airlines lounge.

Concourse E

The only concourse that was yet to be built, Concourse E was the international concourse and all large planes had to use the gates here. The majority of the airport had a size restriction of 41m width, but six gates at Concourse E (E1, E3, E5, E7, E9 and E11) had maximum widths of 67 blocks each. These extra-wide gates could accommodate most of the larger planes on the MRT.

Concourse E featured six "jumbo"-sized gates and eight "standard" gates for a total of fourteen. All passengers arriving into Concourse E were required to clear customs and immigration and claim baggage before connecting to a continuing flight or exiting the airport.

Concourse F

Concourse F was 20 gates in size, tied with Concourse D for the largest concourse at the airport. It is used by airlines of SkyTransit.

Trams

The buildings of IVY were connected to each other via an elaborate system of airside trams, which ran in three loops around the terminal. The Red Line (Eastern loop) served concourses C, D, E and F. The Blue Line (Western loop) served concourses A, B, C and D. Both the Red and Blue Lines ran in a counterclockwise direction. The Green Line (Omni loop) served all concourses, but only the ends of Concourses C and D; it went around the outer edge of the loop system in a clockwise direction. All trams were inside the terminals and passengers must clear security in order to access them.

All three lines met at the C1-C6/Airport Exit and D14-D20 stations. These transfer stations are particularly useful for passengers transferring between the Green Line (Omni Loop) and other lines.

Passengers arriving into Concourse E did not take the trams to access the main terminal, as passport inspection and customs were handled in a tunnel under the C-E taxiway.
