Former name(s) | Iconia |
Itomori (formerly Iconia) is a medium-sized Governor-ranked city centered around MRT stations C62 and C63. Its name is a reference to the village in the anime film Your Name, which has the same name. It has several transit connections, including RaiLinQ and BluRail. Itomori had not seen significant development between 2017-2020 due to the mayor's inactivity, but was completely rebuilt in summer 2020 with organized roads, proper districting, bike paths, a metro system, tens of new buildings, and more, as part of the Itomori Rebuild Project. Its downtown core features several skyscrapers, consisting of office buildings and high-rise apartment complexes, as well as the Itomori Space Needle. The central train station, Itomori Pride, features a large amount of LGBTQ+ pride flags as well as the city's flag. Its suburbs to the west contain dozens of houses, mostly in the modern style of architecture. Itomori also features a smaller distict, Ito Chica, which houses large houses, shops, and the city's spaceport and rocket launch complex, Starbase.
Itomori's main airport is Itomori Air and Space Port, located to the north of the city. Connections to the airport from Itomori Pride are available by road and rail (IAS Airport Express).
Itomori is not part of any MPOs, and generally stays out of server city politics.
Itomori Metro
Itomori's two stations, Itomori Pride Central and Itomori West, are connected to the Itomori Metro, which spans most of the city. Currently, there are three main lines and one intercity commuter line.
- The Bow Line, which crosses the downtown core in a bow shaped loop
- The Downtown Line, which travels straight from east to west, before turning northbound, becoming the Ridge Line. (Itomori West - Macro)
- The Ridge Line (Itomori Pride Central - Pool), which travels from the downtown core to Ito Chica in the northwest, stopping at Starbase along the way, before continuing south to Itomori West where it becomes the eastbound Downtown Line.
- Paixton - Itomori Link Rail (Itomori Pride Central - Paixton Central), which takes a direct route via Paixton South and Itomori West between the two cities. Plans to extend the line to Venceslo are not yet realized.
The Downtown Line and Link Rail both contain relics of days past - two Downtown Line stations and all Link Rail stations feature a modernized version of Frumple's original MRT version 3.0, featuring a retrofitted hopper dispenser system.
