KIA Intelligence & Security is one of the three chief divisions of the Kitania Intelligence Agency, or KIA, a central government agency of the City-State of Kitania. KIA Intelligence & Security is responsible for intelligence gathering, covert operations, escort of top government officials including the President of the City-State of Kitania, security operations in certain foreign areas, and other miscellaneous activities not under the realm of the other divisions of the KIA.

KIA Intelligence & Security was previously known as the KIA Surveillance Division.

Sub-Divisions

KIA Intelligence & Security is divided into several sub-divisions. Unlike the KIA Armed Forces and the KIA Police, KIA Intelligence & Security does not use its full name externally, rather its subdivisions simply label themselves as part of the KIA. The sub-divisions of KIA Intelligence & Security are listed below:

KIA Regional Security Service

The KIA Regional Security Service is responsible for acting as a security and police force in the City-State of Kitania's occupied territories, areas under occupation by the KIA Armed Forces, and areas in which the KIA has pledged to help maintain stability. The KIA Regional Security Service is assisted by the KIA Assistive Regional Security Service (see below).

KIA General Patrol Service

The KIA General Patrol Service is responsible for patrolling outside of the City-State of Kitania through the general areas of the server. The KIA General Patrol Service is assisted by the KIA Assistive General Patrol Service (see below).

KIA Escort Service

The KIA Escort Service is responsible for escorting public officials of the City-State of Kitania, or other people if deemed necessary by the President of the City-State of Kitania. The KIA Escort Service operates a visible presence around the President at public appearances, and has a non-visible appearance around the President at all times. The KIA Escort Service is assisted by the KIA Assistive Escort Service (see below).

KIA Investigative Service

The KIA Investigative Service conducts investigations on behalf of the KIA for matters that would concern the City-State of Kitania that are not related to investigations within the City-State's territory (which are handled by the KIA Police).

The KIA Investigative Service also has sub-divisions, listed below:

KIA Forensics Unit

The KIA Forensics Unit conducts forensic investigations and analyzes crime scenes for further use by the investigators of the KIA Investigative Service.

KIA Technical Assistance Unit

The KIA Technical Assistance Unit assists agents of the KIA Investigative Service with technical assistance operations.

KIA Internal Affairs Service

The KIA Internal Affairs Service has the unique job of investigating alleged wrongdoing and corruption by agents of the KIA. KIA Internal Affairs agents are permitted to arrest other KIA agents without Presidential approval.

KIA Tactical Operations Unit

The KIA Tactical Operations Unit is responsible for tactical and covert operations on behalf of KIA Intelligence & Security. It can conduct SWAT operations, sting operations, and assists members of other sub-divisions of KIA Intelligence & Security in conducting their operations.

KIA Intelligence Service

The KIA Intelligence Service is essentially the "intelligence agency" part of the KIA, which operates to achieve long term intelligence in large scale intelligence gathering operations. This can be distinguished from short term undercover operations performed by the KIA Investigative Service.

KIA Prison Control Service

The KIA Prison Control Service is responsible for maintaining order in and around prisons owned by the City-State of Kitania, primarily the KIA BLACKSITE.

KIA Special Activities Unit

The operations of the KIA Special Activities Unit are highly classified and will not be discussed on this page.
