The KSO, fully known as the Kalorean Standardisation Office, is an organization that sets standards. It was created around 2 October as a result of tension about standards. Within weeks of its creation, it came up with the most used KSO standard so far: KSO 1.0. The KSO has various other official names: KSO is the English and main name, but also KSK (Kalòrêd Stàndardrênkàntor or Kalorese Standaardiseringskantoor for Kalorean and Dutch respectively) is an official name, and also used names include the French, Spanish and German versions: OSK, KOE and KSB, which all may be used in cities to talk about KSO

Purpose

The Purpose of the KSO is, in first place, to create standards for the Kalorean Union and its memberstates, and, in second place, trying to roll them out in other parts of the server. A keypoint of this strategy is to keep the KSO's simple, multi-purpose, generic but still unique and useful for the user.

Standards

The Kalorean Standardisation Office sets up standards, so called KSO Standards or simply KSO followed by the number belonging to the standard. The format used has been changed throughout time, but the focus is on the content. KSO 1 and 2 were immediately aiming to achieve unification about a subject on the MRT level, while subsequent KSO Standards opt to be more regional to have more effect.

KSO 1

KSO 1 is all about the phone network. its principles are focussed on making this KSO usable server-wide. This KSO is not done yet, and will await more review.

KSO 3

KSO 3 is all about rail line numbers. In KSO 3.0, they will be assigned by company for the northwestern region of Aurora, with the note to start the numbers from lowest to highest. The current allocation is 1-10 for MRTHS managed railways, 11-20 for Nixora Rail managed railways, 31-50 for the Aurora Transit Authority / Metro Northwest, 51-60 for NewRail and 61-70 for other companies in the area. To keep them organised, all rail lines should be registered at the KSO, so the numbers can be used on infrastructure maps of the region. The list of registered lines can be found here: Google Drive
