The Kitania Diplomatic Commission is a government agency of the City-State of Kitania responsible for managing relations between the City-State of Kitania and other cities and states, as well as its membership in intergovernmental organizations.

Foreign Policy

The Kitania Diplomatic Commission directs the foreign policy of the City-State of Kitania. The City-State has built up diplomatic relations with many different cities and states, and considers some to be close allies.

The following states are considered to be strong allies of the City-State of Kitania¹:

• Lacledic Republic

The City-State of Kitania also maintains good relations with the following cities¹:

• Liten
• AEville
• Kenthurst
• Ilirea
• Paixton

States in which the City-State of Kitania maintains embassies are also considered to be on friendly terms with the City-State.

The City-State of Kitania does not keep a comprehensive list of enemies (and does not have a strict definition for the term "enemy"), but has engaged in hostile relations with other states in the past. The City-State has engaged in prior wars with True City², Waterville, The Royal Ferry Monarchy, and Liten. Relations were repaired with Liten³ and Waterville, while the City-State is currently on neutral terms with The Royal Ferry Monarchy.

Among states which the City-State of Kitania formerly considered hostile was Spruce Neck, which attempted to arrest the President of the City-State of Kitania, and threatened to declare war against the City-State of Kitania. The Kitania Diplomatic Commission had sanctions against Spruce Neck, but they were lifted in an agreement in which Spruce Neck and the City-State of Kitania repaired their relations.

The City-State of Kitania, as of May 21st, has declared any member state of the Yaxier Alliance to be an enemy, including Formosa, Armada, Belvadere, Phoenix Valley, and Woodsdale.

Richville

The City-State of Kitania advises its citizens to not visit Richville due to ongoing military conflict.

Sanctions

The following are sanctions issued by the Kitania Diplomatic Commission of the City-State of Kitania against other cities, states, and organizations. Groups sanctioned are forbidden from operating in the City-State of Kitania, and may be further sanctioned by allies of the City-State.

While under sanction, the City-State of Kitania will not conduct any business with the sanctioned state, and will suspend any operations within it.

Declarations of War

The Kitania Diplomatic Commission is responsible for declaring war on other cities and states, which is then executed by the KIA Armed Forces. The Kitania Diplomatic Commission has active declarations of war on the following states:

Declaration of War against Covina

On October 4th, 2017, Covina participated in an attack on the City-State of Kitania province of Zaquar by rebel forces of the KIA, which have proclaimed themselves as the Free State of Kitania. The Covina Military provided direct air support to the Free State of Kitania during the attack and assisted in the creation of a naval blockade of Zaquar, both of which constitute acts of war against the City-State of Kitania. As such, the City-State of Kitania formally declares war against Covina.

Declaration of War against the Lacledic Republic

The City-State of Kitania is committed to defending its holdings in Trojan Valley, which have been enroached upon by the Lacledic Republic. As such, the City-State of Kitania hereby declares war against the Lacledic Republic.

Declaration of War against USSRGrad

The City-State of Kitania declares war against the USSRGrad as part of its participation in The War on Communism.
