Laclede Municipal Airport is a small airfield located in Laclede, built when the city was of Senator rank during the period that small airfields were allowed in Senator cities. The airport has seen its traffic dwindle since Harry S. Truman International Airport was built to the north, becoming the major gateway for air traffic in Laclede.
The airport has a small terminal building and landing strip capable of supporting one miniature-sized plane. The only flight operating out of the airport is South Weast Airlines flight 103 to Splurgeville Municipal Airport, South Weast Airlines flight 122 to Omerah International Airport, and South Weast Airlines flight 217 to St. Francis Xavier Regional Airport across town in the Laclede Theater District.
The airport has gained notoriety as an MRT meme, thanks to its location. The airport held the January 9th, 2021 Trustee Meeting, the first under Speaker EliteNeon.
