dB (Third generation) | AB14 | 24 October 2013 | The design of the Airblade dB was based off from the first iteration of the Airblade series, derived from the AB01, which was released in 2006. The rest was history, with the product seen implemented in various public spaces around the world with multiple hand dryer companies attempted to copy the success of the Airblade dB by replicating the concept of the technology by utilising a jet of air to quickly and efficiently dry one's hands. Since then, multiple generations of the dB has since emerged, with now the dB entering the 3rd generation as the AB14, with a quieter run time at 80dB, allowing it to achieve the Quiet Mark certification, while maintaining speed and efficiency.
V (Second generation) | HU02 | 2017; 3 years ago | The first "hands-under" drying style of hand dryers by Dyson, the Dyson Airblade V was the first released in 2013, the same year which the second generation of the Airblade dB had debuted. The second and the current generation, with the code HU02, had a quieter run-time at 80dB, while increasing the drying time from 10 seconds to 12 seconds.
Wash+Dry (Second generation, all variants) | WD04 (Short), WD05 (Tall), WD06 (Wall mount) | 23 April 2018 | The first faucet with an integrated hand dryer, the first of its kind was released back in 2013, and was known as the Airblade Tap. This is the first Airblade model to feature a stainless-steel construction. In 2018, Dyson released the second generation of the model, now dubbed as the Wash+Dry, which has reduced loudness by 39%, smaller air apertures, improved control over water usage and has lower carbon dioxide emission. However, this has increased the dry time from 12 seconds to 14 seconds.
9kJ (all variants) | HU03-LV (Standard Voltage), HU03-HV (High Voltage) | 12 October 2019 | The newest model to join the family of the Airblade series, the 9kJ was released in 2019 and claims to use only 9.1kJ of energy (hence the name) per hand dried in Eco mode, and has its air apertures curved ergonomically to optimise drying for the user. This is also the first Airblade hand dryer model which its power usage can be toggled on the unit itself, where the operator can easily changed from low-speed drying operation of 12 seconds to high-speed drying operation of 10 seconds by dismounting the machine and toggling a switch. The 9kJ is the second model to feature a stainless-steel finish, after the Airblade Tap, instead of ABS or polycarbonate construction found in previous models. |
