Lumia is a national park and village founded and built by Melecie. It is located in Ward 2, north of Bawktown. It was founded in January of 2021, however construction on it happens sporadically.
History
During the construction of the MRT Jungle Line, Melecie built station exits along numerous stations, including JN2. They saw potential in the area, in particular the mountainous region in the southwest. Once the line opened in April 2018, they claimed it, although did not build anything in it aside from a small, unfinshed train stop due to working on other towns at the time, including Nymphalia and Gemstride. The claim was given to ModernArt, who owned the town of Redbridge two stations northbound.
On 2021, after the town of Thegame was marked as complete, Melecie remembered about the old claim. They requested JN2 back from ModernArt, who agreed. The town of Lumia was then formally founded, with the old train stop being covered up and Fort Lumia, which served as the town hall, was built. The first paths in the national park were laid down, which was intended to lead to a cliffside town at first before Melecie decided to theme the entire town around nature instead of being a typical town. Much of the park's style was formed at this period, including the prominence of cliffs, abundance of purple and white flowers and the diorite/end rod stalactites.
After Peony Hill was finished and construction moved on to Lumia Village itself, construction started to slow down. The larger area, combined with Melecie shifting their focus back to Nymphalia's senator bid and later Hazenne and Sylffe as well as their waning activity, lead to its development being sporadic for two years.
During the construction of Lumia Village, infrastructure was also built for the park. A road connection to Bawktown was built which allowed buses to stop in Lumia, followed by rail connection through IntraRail. Both of these stopped east of the park, where a new entrance to the park was built. Lumia was also featured in The Amazing Race 12 then, with teams searching for a candle in the midst of the flower fields.
Geography
Lumia is situated between numerous mountains in a windswept hills. It is bordered by a flatter hills and plains. Much of the area is a meadow located in valleys, with plants such as tulips, alliums, and lilacs spread around the landscape. The valleys are surrounded by stone cliffs with stalactites as well as rivers. Caves are also a common feature, with one in particular southeast of Lumia Village containing amethyst crystals.
