MRT Irl

MRT Irl is a sub-wiki on the MRT Wiki organised by Airplaneguy9. It aims to create subpages that portray MRT players and companies as real life people, on the real Earth.

History

The subwiki was inspired by the MRT2FSX project, which is a project that aims to create MRT airlines inside of a flight simulator, where, under the Description tab, Airplane wrote fictional stories about the airlines in real life, like how AirLinQ was a Russian airline, or BART a luxury Alaskan one, or FlyBahia an Australian one, or Waypoint a European low-cost one. The names of players were stylized as "Airplane Guynine" instead of "Airplaneguy9". This stylizing was adopted in the Epsilia, with Guynine, Crimson Fox (crimsonf0x) and Emgee "Mighty" Wern (MgWn) being examples. They even had personalities and backstories: Guynine was the heavily memed mayor of South African town Wenyanga, and Fox was a famous Floridan criminal businessman.

Then, Airplane had an idea: to make a subwiki dedicated to these fake names and let it be freely edited by users, therefore creating a wiki that would show a different reality to our earth.
