The MRT Rose Line, or simply the Rose Line, is one of the 22 lines of the New World MRT system and one of the 11 additional New World MRT lines.

History

The Rose Line, originally unnamed was first conceived by Frumple during a proposal by pretzel33 to extend Western Line North to San Francisco, during a discussion as to whether if the location of the last station in this extension, in downtown San Francisco was suitable for a possible future extension. Frumple suggested that it would go between San Francisco and Zephyr Line, taking a east-west alignment across northern Zeta.

Frumple's final MRT line plan has L1 (gold) and L2 (magenta) that will serve North Zeta.

Following the conclusion of February 2023 GSM which established shortlists for names for the remaining 7 line letters, Frumple posted the Final MRT Line Plan, where the line would become Rose Line is labeled as L1 and colored gold and would go from San Francisco to MRT Zephyr Line before either this line or L2 would be extended to serve the northeastern corner.

jay_planner originally wanted to build a Taiga Line extension to meet with the proposed line, but due to staffs' ruling to ensure diversity on builders among the last MRT lines and extensions, and jay_planner was only allowed to build one more extension, so he dropped the plan to extend Taiga Line and instead focused on this line. In February 21, 2023, he began planning the western section of this line, going to San Francisco from Zephyr Line via Repentigny. After discussion about what name and letter to give to this line, Frumple suggested Sky, Knight and Radiance, but jay_planner shelved the project in favor of the eastern section of this line. During the planning process, the final name and letter was chosen, that being Rose Line and the color being pink.

After the planning process of Rose Line, jay_planner proposed the eastern section of Rose Line in March 28, 2023, sponsored by Skelezomperman and was approved in April 2, 2023. When jay_planner resigned from the Conductor in May 22, 2023, Skelezomperman took over construction of the line. Construction was completed in August 12, 2023, with a claiming form opening opening the same day. After the form was closed with no claimants, the line officially opened at 19:00 UTC in August 27, 2023, with a ceremony being held at the eastern terminus, RE21 station in Mountbatten.

MRT Rose Line West used to go straight to San Francisco from MRT Zephyr Line, but as part of MRT Union Line Phase 8, the routes of MRT Union Line and MRT Rose Line was swapped, with MRT Rose Line now going to northern border passing through Erzville. The Rose Line West extension, proposed by _Ludus in December 6, 2023, extends the line from R0 in Inverkelpie to Robloxia, split into 2 sub-phases. It was approved at December 9, 2023 with AP_Red as the sponsor, originally proposed with Zuoj, but was changed as he was busy working with MRT Beach Line. The extension was finished in December 24, 2023 with a claim form being sent out.

Route

The Rose Line travels in northern Zeta from Inverkelpie to Mountbatten via Rivarennes. The current travel duration for the line's entire length is approximately 71 minutes.

The style of the entire section of Rose East is that the viaducts and tunnels are made out of quartz with pink terracotta running down the center, with redstone lamps along the way and additionally down the sides, with iron railings. The pillars are made out of quartz, being Y-shaped and having pink terracotta down the center. The tunnels are in a rough oval shape, being 4.5 blocks tall and the sides are painted with a mixture of pink terracotta and smooth stone, but east of RE5 station, the pattern in the tunnel walls becomes predictable.

Rose East

The line starts at R0 station, an interchange station with MRT Zephyr Line in Inverkelpie. From there, the line goes underground, crossing Lake 35 to Puerto Hilaga, going under Port Sybil, at RE1 station. After that, the line goes above ground, crossing A0 and the forest biomes. Before approaching Halifax at RE5, the line goes underground and follows MRT Lakeshore Line to New Mayton City.

After passing through RE6 in New Mayton City, the line turns and descends to cross Northern Ocean on the way to Rivarennes. The line then goes above ground to a taiga biome, then following the northern shores of Northern Ocean. It remains underground, even when crossing a mountain biome from RE11 to RE13 stations. After going through RE14 station in Celina, the line parallels MRT Eastern Line, crossing the canal connecting Qamar Sea and Lake 34. Then, the lines go together, going underground across Halloumi. East of Halloumi, the lines split, with MRT Eastern Line going towards Beachivew and MRT Rose Line going towards Kappen, crossing Northern Ocean again.

From Kappen, the line crosses a mountain biome, then goes across the taiga biome to meet with MRT Union Line, which the line follows until RE21 station in Mountbatten, where the line terminates.
