Format

Regionals The world has been split into 25 different regions. Each region must decide one contestant to go into the audition round. Only people who are mayor or deputy mayor of a city in this region may be submitted until the wait list is up. This is up to the region to decide. It can be done at random, through auditions, or voting. Note: Deadline for contestant submission is an hour before auditions. If a player is not selected but wishes to be, they are automatically added to the wait list. If no player in a region wishes to compete, somebody from the waitlist will be chosen (at random).

Auditions Once a player has been submitted from each region, they will audition. To audition, you must sing a song of your choice and a dancing is allowed. Note: We request that your song choice is appropriate for all ages. The song may be in any language. In fact, we encourage you to sing in your native language. We also suggest that you pick a song that you believe no-one else will pick. The auditions will take via mumble and the theatre. Note: Theatres, Dates, and Times are at the top of the page. This means you must sing via mumble, and if you chose to dance in your song, in the theatre. The judges will choose twelve contestants in the auditions to move on to the semi-finals. To sign up for auditions, sign your name and region on the talk page.

Semi-Finals There are two semi-finals. Semi-Final 1 and Semi-Final 2. A contestant may request which semi-final they would like to be in, depending on the flexibility of their schedule. Note: We do not guarantee that you will be placed in the semi-final of your choice. The placement of your order or performance does not correlate with your talent, but rather the type of performance, to provide more entertainment for the audience. Example: Three songs by Adele in a row would be boring to the audience. However, having a song by Adele, followed by Elvis and Lorde would be much more entertaining. The top two from each semi-final will reach the finals. The semi-final results will be decided by an online voting system.

Finals The top two ranked performers from each semi-final will compete in the final. Leading up to the finals, the performers will work closely with a design team (provided by MRTvision) to create a set for the performance. Once again, the winner will be decided by an online voting system.

What if I don’t get picked for the Semi-Finals? If you don’t get picked for the semi-finals, it doesn’t mean that your act was not good. In fact, it might have been better than others. However, we need to make sure that MRTvision has enough variety in its performances to keep the show entertaining.

It sounds unfair that the judges get to pick who performs. The judges are also the organizers of the show, and need to make sure that the shows are entertaining to watch. The judges have no voting power when the semi-finals begin.

For the audition process, it sounds like I need to know which region I am in. But what else? While you do need to know what region you are in (see http://imgur.com/Sc3tVAj), here are a few pointers for your audition process:

1. Make sure to say your in game name, your region, and what city you are representing loudly and clearly.

2. Before you perform, make sure to say which song you are singing and who it is written and performed by.

3. If you mess up, keep going. The judges aren’t there to criticize you. In fact, some of them have been in theatre auditions themselves, and know how hard it is.

4. The judges will be looking for in your audition stage presence, vocal power, and entertainment.

5. If the judges tell you “Thank you. Thats enough.”, it doesn’t mean that you won’t make it to the semi-final. It just means that the judges have heard enough. In fact, they could have been enjoying your audition, but there are many auditions to get though.

I can’t work out which region is mine.
