Melecie, formerly known as SoaPuffball from the first to the seventh contest, has participated in the MRTvision Screenshot Contest eleven times since their debut in the first contest. They have participated under their town of Nymphalia, and later the Nymphic Union.
Contest history
Under the username SoaPuffball, Melecie was one of the last participants to submit a screenshot for MRTvision Screenshot Contest 1. They submitted "Near Fenwick Square", taken in Verdantium, placing 25th with 19 points. Despite the lack of shaders, it obtained one set of 12 points from Deadbush.
While they were not able to join in the MRTvision Screenshot Contest 2, they returned in the third contest. Taking inspiration from New Woodbury's screenshot "Diversity Street" in the first contest, they started using armor stand scenes for future screenshots, starting with "A Vacation", which featured people who had gone inactive since then. It placed 19th in the first semi-final.
Melecie joined under the Nymphic Union in MRTvision Screenshot Contest 4, utilizing shaders for the first time. They took "Lakeside Cafe" in Gemstride, placing 14th in the second semi-final. They failed to produce a proper screenshot for the next contest and instead relied on a backup screenshot: "Tropic's Snowy Sundown", taken in the Games World version of the Halua Island adventure map. It was the first of Melecie's screenshots to advance to the finals, placing 16th with 78 points.
Melecie was unable to advance past the semi-finals for the next three contests. They were planning to submit another backup screenshot in the MRTvision Screenshot Contest 6 titled "Sunset Stroll" taken in Lapis Bay; however, they were able to create a proper screenshot of Monte Isola titled "Rise, Isola!", placing 16th in the first semi-final. Melecie continued their non-qualification streak for the following two contests with "urban sunrise" placing 13th in the first semi-final and "mountain paradise" placing 14th in the second semi-final in their respective contests.
Melecie's screenshot in the ninth contest became their highest placement. Utilizing a smaller armor stand scene than previous screenshots and taken in Lapis Bay, "watch the world go by" scored 148 points and placed 5th, resulting in the first time a screenshot taken by them was featured on the MRT website.
Melecie's town of Nymphalia hosted the MRTvision Screenshot Contest 10 following a bidding process to select the host city. For the contest, Melecie submitted the screenshot "farewell to the sunset", placing 7th in the final after placing 2nd in the first semi-final.
In the eleventh and twelfth contests, Melecie submitted the screenshots "first train at first light" and "respecting traditions", both placing 11th in the final with 102 points and 99 points, respectively.
In a conversation in the MRT Discord, Melecie described themself as having a "middlepack performance with random spikes" in the contest.
Theming
Melecie has frequently used armor stand scenes in their submissions. From the fourth to the eleventh contest, Melecie's entries featured a sunrise or sunset in some capacity.
The only theme Melecie has used in their titles is using lowercase beginning in the seventh contest with "urban sunrise".
