MineCaching
MineCaching is the first and only Geocaching centre for the MRT, started by ICTman. Players look for chests known as "Caches" hidden in various places around the map, signing the logbook, trading items and more. It's a fun activity that will help you explore and discover more of MRT.

Code of Honour
Please follow the MineCaching Code of Honour at all times.
- I shall not break or place blocks unless the landowner has given me explicit permission.
- I shall not steal items - I will always replace items I take with another item of similar value.
- I shall not deface the logbook.
- I shall not cause disruption.
- I shall be considerate to others.
How to hide a Cache
- Find a plot of land that fits the cache guidelines below.
- Hide a one-block chest there. Don't make it too obvious, but don't make it so that people have to break or place blocks to reach it.
- Use a book and quill to create a logbook - it must contain this: "This is a MineCache. To log your find, add your name and today's date to the book, do not sign it, and put it back. More details on the wiki."
- Submit the cache's details at https://forms.gle/9YEcXyNA6hM3jCHBA
Cache guidelines
- You MUST have permission to place the cache where you plan to place it, be it through one-to-one discussion or through an agreement the landowner has made. If it is found that you have placed a cache without permission, you will be banned from MineCaching.
- The cache must be accessible to someone without placing or breaking any blocks.
- You must be able to perform maintenance on your cache, including replacing the logbook.

Hints
Hints are available to make the geocache a bit easier to find. They're encoded in ROT-13 so that people who don't want the hints don't spoil it for themselves. To decode the hint, you can use most good Geocacher's toolbox programs, or https://rot13.com/.
Properties
Some geocaches have some properties that can help you decide what geocache to try. Here's a table decoding the PropCodes:

Cache Codes
Cache codes are usually the first 15 letters of the following:
"MCH" + Base64(SHA1(OwnerName + ":" + StartCoordinates + ":" + CacheName))
This algorithm should ensure unique codes each time. Clashes can occur, however, in which case an extra character may be added to the end. It is possible to have a custom cache code! It will cost anywhere between $1.99 to $899.99 depending on the desirability of the code. You can upgrade an existing cache by asking ICTman, or you can order it on new caches using the form.
