Ninechannel (Korean: 나인채널 / Japanese: ナインチャンル) is the main national broadcasting and news journalism service of The Juhwa Islands. Less commonly the channel is also referred to as The National Islander's News Establishment (Korean: 도민보도국 "Domin Bodoguk" / Japanese: 島民放送局 "Tomin Hosokyoku"), but in very formal occasions only. Formerly the name was stylized as NINEchannel (2015-2018), but has officially dropped the capitals on January 1st, 2019.

The company is best well-known for its advanced vocabulary spread across its hearty journals, and one of the finest reputable and congruent news agency in the MRT World. They are also one of the oldest non-defunct news agencies in the MRT.

Despite Korean as the primary official language of Juhwa Islands, English is used for best compatibility with the international communities outside of Juhwa Islands. In this sense does Ninechannel also serve as an outlet.

History

Under Janghwa City (2015 - 2018)

Ninechannel began as a news agency for Janghwa Metropolitan City under the name, "channelNINE". A major broadcasting building was confirmed, and so commenced operations in December 15, 2015. They also opened satellite stations internationally to expand their coverage for overseas supies such as Whitechapel in December 31st, 2015, and Elecna Bay in March 30th, 2016. On the same day they commenced operations in Elecna Bay, Ninechannel revised their wording on the logo as "Ninechannel", but maintained the official term as "channelNINE".

channelNINE then launched their online article program on May 25th, 2016. Three days later, channelNINE registered itself as an affiliate news source of MBS, and its stakes were bought upon by corporationHB. Derpy Melon offered sponsorship as well via ChannelFour, but were immediately dismissed the next day, citing lack of negotiation in regards to the sponsorship. However just six days into the affiliation on June 1st, 2016, channelNINE broke itself off of MBS for suspicious journalism techniques from the MBS.

On May 30th, 2016, channelNINE received the official broadcasting permission for the MRT Franchise Awards, but inactivity began to settle in right after, and an eventual hiatus formed. Not so long after, corporationHB also ceased operations and sponsorships ended on July 15, 2016, and Elecna Bay operations terminated the same day. From January 7th, 2017, LithiumMirnuriX took over to continue channelNINE, but journalistic value was already declining. International operations for Seolho City began on March 29th, 2017, but immediately closed down on July 12th of the same year following Janghwa's demands of unlinking from any properties of the Ophelia Confederation. The channel's name was also restructured as "NINEchannel" to reduce confusion with their logo.

Under Juhwa Islands (2018- )

On February 9, 2018, NINEchannel exited Janghwa M.C. as their national broadcasting representative due to the Ophelia Confederation's new ownership of the territory, and transitioned to the Juhwa Islands as their new broadcasting home. They renamed their motto from "News Harbinger of Janghwa" to "News Harbinger of Juhwa", and revived their proper operations ever since. LithiumMirnuriX was dismissed from the company, while the overseas Whitechapel operations were suspended to focus more domestically. On the first day of 2019, NINEchannel rebranded itself to align completely with their logo as "Ninechannel", and removed the capital portions of their name.
