Pacifica is a company focused on serving express trains between cities utilizing, but not limited to, CitiRail tracks. The system is a marked difference from anything the MRT had provided previously. Pacifica runs on a ticketing system, with passengers required to purchase a ticket to get to their destination. Its parent company is Nordic.

History

Pacifica Transit was a old-world company focused on service to and from Ravenswood to Central City. It used innovative features for its time, and the company was subsequently absorbed into the AMR Corp. After Nordic spun off with CitiRail in its possession, it was originally planned to be an inclusive company serving all different kind of rail services. On November 11, 2015 Nordic decided to re-structure the rail division to reflect better its desire to make CitiRail a purely Rail Infrastructure Company, meaning CitiRail will be providing trackage and station technologies to any third-party that desired to join and utilize its system. Pacifica will be independent of the CitiRail requirements, allowing it to use other rail lines if necessary.

In 2024, Citirail was officially converted to TC, and will operate in a dual ticketing system. You can either utilize a one-time-use line tickets, or obtain an "Direct+ Ticket" -- unlimited-use direct-station tickets from anywhere in the system regardless of the line -- from the Pacifica Hall at Whitechapel Waterfront.

Pacifica lines radiating from Whitechapel are named after Pacific Coast beaches. The direction of the line is defined as "INBOUND" and "OUTBOUND" radiating from its starting hub-- in majority of the cases, Whitechapel Waterfront. In cases where the starting hub is not Waterfront, it will then use the alternative hub as the INBOUND/OUTBOUND destination.

Hubs & Routes

Whitechapel - Waterfront Station

Whitechapel Waterfront Station has 12 current lines serving the hub. Waterfront Station was also the first hub planned for the CitiRail System.

Whitechapel - Sky Harbor

Whitechapel Sky Harbor has 3 current lines serving the hub, which is located at the Whitechapel Sky Harbor Airport with direct access to the terminals. Lines are to be announced shortly after completion of the platform identifications. There is no planned Direct+ Ticket Hub at Sky Harbor.

Blackfriars

Blackfriars is the future hub for all services in the South. While it will only serve as the terminus for a single line at the initial phase, it is expected to be a major hub serving at least 5-10 lines and a Direct+ Ticket Hub in the near future.
