Pacifica is a Nordic company focused on serving express trains between cities utilizing, but not limited to, CitiRail tracks. The system is a marked difference from anything the MRT had provided previously. Pacifica runs on a ticketing system, which means you will need to purchase a ticket to get to your destination.

Pacifica will open new lines during the Winter Holiday Seasons with the culmination of operating 7 lines by New Years 2016.

History

Pacifica Transit was a old-world company focused on service to and from Ravenswood to Central City. It used innovative features for its time, and the company was subsequently absorbed into the AMR Corp. After Nordic spun off with CitiRail in its possession, it was originally planned to be an inclusive company serving all different kind of rail services. On November 11, 2015 Nordic decided to re-structure the rail division to reflect better its desire to make CitiRail a purely Rail Infrastructure Company, meaning CitiRail will be providing trackage and station technologies to any third-party that desired to join and utilize its system. Pacifica will be independent of the CitiRail requirements, allowing it to use other rail lines if necessary.

During the Winter Holidays, the focus is to open lines and complete the re-brand of CitiRail Commuter Rail to Pacifica Rail. However, with the opening of CitiRail's Maidenhead Line between Whitechapel and West Calbar, Pacifica will also open its first branded service between the city pairs while in the process of rebranding.
