Peach Bay is a large mayor ranked town located in Glowing Bay. It is currently the largest city in the country, with a population of 20,935 according to the most recent town census. It was founded and owned by Zuoj.

Peach Bay is primarily located on the mesa coastline to the southeast of Sunshine Coast and to the north of Quinston

History

Founding (2022)

Peach Bay was founded after Zuoj had temporarily lost motivation to continue working on Nuuk. He wanted to switch it up and try building something more tropical, so he started searching for a suitable location for a new town.

The lack of towns and development in the southern Zeta drew his eyes toward the region. Zuoj then got to work trying to find a location, and even speaking to the local mayors. At first the town was going to be located on the tip of the mesa continent, closer to Bahia. But location was too rocky and was not a good idea place to begin building, so Zuoj moved way way south closer to the town of Quinston, which was owned by Kr4ka.

After settling down, Zuoj started to make way for buildings, but ended up building really small and detailed to make sure all the buildings fit on such a small piece of land. Unlike Nuuk, Zuoj tried to take a carfree approach to building the town, and ended up settling with a chaotic style that was inspired by towns such as Itokani and Sunshine Coast. The first building in the city was a lighthouse, which ended up becoming the tallest building in town, even to this day.

Increased development (2022–2023)

In late August 2022, Peach Bay was promoted to councillor shortly after the construction of first 10 buildings were complete. At this point, Peach Bay had only been connected to the neighboring town of Quinston across the bay. Zuoj wanted to change that, and got to work on Peach Bay Regional Seaport and a proper town hall for the city in preparation for promotion to Mayor.

In September, with the seaport complete and gates given out, development exploded and Zuoj managed to build 20 buildings in less than a month. The town was promoted to Mayor in late September and claimed the title as the largest city in Glowing Bay by building count. The fast growing town of Peach Bay caught the attention of several transit companies. In October of 2022, BluRail announced plans to expand the 1 and 1X lines to the southeast corner via Peach Bay.

Peach Bay, being the highest ranked city in the area at the time, became the focus of a new MRT Jungle Line extension from Sunshine Coast and Mojangsburg to the MRT Union Line.

Islands and Districts

Peach Bay is divided into many neighborhoods and islands, and each have their own local government and attractions.

Turtle Island

Turtle Island is the smallest and oldest section in the city, and most of the historic buildings lie within this district. The buildings here are a mix of tropical and modern building styles, taking inspiration from different cities across the server. The district is located on an island at the center of the city and is home to Peach Bay Regional Seaport. This district is also home to the cruise ship docks.

Downtown Island

Downtown Island is the second smallest section of the city, and is home to multiple skyscrapers and is surrounded by the water and nice views. This sections covers the island completely and is home to the first roads in the city. The roads here are inspired by Titsensaki and the Ottia Islands. The downtown Island is also home to the Peach Bay Regional Seaport and houses the largest seaplane on the server.

Geography

Climate

Due to the close proximity to the warm Glowing Bay, the town experiences tropical climatic conditions, typified by hot and humid weather throughout the year. It has a tropical wet and dry climate (Köppen: Aw). Peach Bay experiences an annual average rainfall of 1,800mm (70 in).

During the summer, dry air from the nearby mesa bring record highs of 36 °C (97 °F). While during the winter, humid air coming in from the Coral Sea bring in tropical typhoons and monsoon storms. These weather conditions allow for many different summer sports to be held here annually, such as boat racing and parkour.
