The Democratic Kaktus Republic, commonly known as the Kaktus Republic or KR, was a unitary republic comprised of 8 regions, a federal district, 27 provinces, and various possessions. The capital was Sunshine Coast, which was also the largest city and economic hub. The nation was scattered across the entire new world, ranging from the cold arctic north to the warm tropical southern regions. Member cities must have signed a charter of joining, and were effectively part of a single sovereign state. It was replaced by the People's Republic of Montego.
Etymology
The nation's name, "Kaktus" is a reference to its founders name, Cacto. The republic section of the name refers to the state's status as a Unitary Republic.

Region 3, located in the northeast corner, composes of two cities, Kevtropolis and Nymphalia, with Kevtropolis being the capital and the largest city. It inculdes a mega taige biome, and a plains biome, and the MRT Jungle and Eastern lines travel through it.

Region 8 is located in the southeast portion of the New World. The majority of this region is in Ward 6, which has mesa, savanna, and desert biomes. There are two Kaktus Republic provinces located in this region; Euphorial and Gemstride. Both of these cities are located in Ward 6 in the Metropolitan West Mesa. Region 8's capital, Euphorial, is home to Red Desert National Park, the first national park of the Kaktus Republic. Its largest city, Gemstride, is one of the fastest growing cities in the region.
