The Pixl Broadcasting Corporation (PBC) is a Crown Corporation of the City-State of Pixl.
Overview
PBC runs various local channels, as well as MRT-wide channels.
Its main broadcasting tower is located next to the Downtown Pixl broadcasting centre. PBC broadcasts in full 4K UHD (with HDR) locally, and 1080p HD outside of Pixl.
Technical details
The Pixl Broadcasting Corporation broadcasts OTA using the ASTC 3.0 transmission standard. This provides citizens of Pixl the ability to watch PBC channels in 4k UHD with HDR support. Portions of Espil are also covered by PBC's 4k service.
Cities outside of Pixl can enjoy select PBC channels in standard 1080i OTA format. Optionally, citizens of other cities can view select PBC channels over the Internet.
PBC channels are provided free of charge and are funded by the Government of Pixl.
All of PBC's channels are equipped to broadcast emergency messages if need be. The Government of Pixl reserves all rights to intercept current broadcasts with emergency notices. These emergency messages do not affect PBC channels outside of Pixl (unless it is a server-wide emergency).
Channels
The Pixl Broadcasting Corporation provides a wide variety of 24/7 channels to the citizens of Pixl. These channels range from News and Talk to Gameshows and Entertainment.
Outside of Pixl, PBC operates News and Gameshow broadcasts, however, unlike in Pixl, these do not operate 24/7. These channels are filled with local channels when PBC is not broadcasting.
