RapidLink, formally the Sunshine Cove Metropolitan Transportation Authority, is the government agency that is responsible for the regional public transportation network of Sunshine Cove. It is headquartered in the Government Center neighborhood of Sunshine Cove.

RapidLink was created in 1985 as the Sunshine Cove Metropolitan Transportation Authority (SCMTA) to replace Sunshine Cove CityBus. RapidLink is in charge of various modes of public transportation in the Sunshine Cove region that includes regional bus services, city bus services in the municipality of Sunshine Cove, and operating the RapidLink Metro network in the region.

Services

Metro Service

RapidLink Metro is a regional mass transit rail system with two subway and one light rail line. The first line, the Green Line was built in 1984 along an old abandoned freight rail corridor in West Beach and was then extended north in 2003. The subway lines, the Red and Purple lines were built in 1994 as an automated medium capacity rapid transit system providing service from Downtown to the inner suburbs.

Bus Service

RapidLink is the primary bus operator in the Sunshine Cove region, providing frequent bus service along the region's busiest corridors. In addition to its traditional routes, RapidLink has started to operate a few Rapid routes that utilize HOV lanes along the Edgeley Expressway and Hamblin Street.

Governance

RapidLink is governed by a board of directors with 12 members who represent 12 districts located inside the Sunshine Cove Metropolitan region. RapidLink also has its own police force that patrols trains and stations.
