The Rockham Metro transports the citizens of Rockham around the town. The metro is operated by Transport For Rockham

The Metro

The majority of the metro is ran on minecart rails, which for the most part are all double tracked. At stations, there will be access to minecart dispensers, so that guests who can't place down minecarts have an easy way to access the metro.

The purpose of the metro is to connect communities to eachother, aswell as providing onward rail access for those who arrive in to Rockham Central, or Rockham West.

Metro Lines

District Line

The District Line is the main metro line, going from north to south, serving the residents of West Eamington, Central Rockham, and also proving access to the sports complex.

History

The District Line first opened Between Rockham Central and Rockham Wallgate (now North Rockham Interchange) on 18/12/16. The Section between Rockham Central & Laindon (Now Rockham Mountains Interchange) opened on 19/12/16. An Extension opened to Jenkins (Now Jenkins Dawae) soon after, with the extension to Basildon (Now Rockham Sports Complex) opening later that month.

In November 2017, The Section Between Rockham Wallgate & Jenkins was transferred to the Sunnyside Line, in preparation of an extension to Eamington.

After July 2018, The line was extended to Eamington MRT (V21)

Sunnyside Line

The Sunnyside Line serves the communities of East Eamington and Jenkins Dawae.

History

Originally, this was just a double track shuttle between Rockham Central & Sunnyside Beach (which was just a lake) with the line looping around at each end. It was at one point reduced as a shuttle between Laindon (Now Mountains Junction) and Sunnyside Beach and reclassified as a District Line branch but this didnt last long.

The line north of Rockham was once extended to the now demolished 'Rockham Hotel', with a stop added at Rockham Wallgate (now Gas Station) after. The line then took on the District Line branch between Wallgate & Jenkins as the District Line was planned to head into a different direction.

When Rockham Primary School was constructed, the line was extended one stop to there.

Trivia

  • The Only existing peice of infastructure between two stations which hasn't been modified is the Laindon Tunnel, linking Rockham Central and Mountains Junction. This is the only section where the District & Sunnyside Lines run side by side

Key

Stations in Bold are fitted with Minecart dispensers (if applicable)

Stations in Italic are step-free, although it may not be to all platforms.

If stations have both, then that means stations are both fitted with Minecart dispensers and are step-free.
