Sagal Grand Station (Korean: 사갈역, Japanese: 砂蠍駅), informally Sagal Station, or internationally referred to as Juhwa-Sagal Station (Korean: 주화사갈역, Japanese: 洲化砂蠍駅) is a major train station complex in the Canton of Dongryoon, Sagal Province, Juhwa Islands. It is one of the three major hub stations of the Juhwa Islands and houses the regional headquarters for JHR of Sagal Province and the local train line, The Outback Express.

With eighteen bullet train tracks, twelve JuhwaMetro tracks and an MRT Eastern Line station (ES35), Sagal Grand Station is regarded as one of the largest underground train station in the MRT World. However, access to the station is greatly limited internationally as the Juhwa Islands and the rest of the world uses differing train track sizes.

History

Sagal Grand Station is one of the oldest infrastructures of the Juhwa Islands as it broke ground on April 30, 2017- the same day Juhwa Confederacy established itself as an official nation. Being one of the three provinces linked together (Namhae Province is relatively satelite in comparison), Sagal Province was in need of a major train station which could act as a crucial transportation hub.

The location for the station however was less strategically settled as construction firms noticed a strangely circular crater in Shiwon Region of Dongryoon West, just east of the Powibong Rock. Believing this was a sign of deity, construction on the station situated around this crater without second thoughts. This later proved to be unideal as construction on the Eastern Ticket Wing (Floor B1-E) became difficult with ocean water seeping through the walls. Although many delays occured due to water leakage issues, this was eventually soluted with reinforced terrain surrounding the station. A parking structure was also planned behind the ticket counters but this was certainly scrapped for the reasons mentioned.

Earlier in the day, Sagal Grand Station wasn't planned to be as large as it is today. JHR had no plans to build warp trains and only intended to have JuhwaMetro as their primary rail transport across the Juhwa Islands.

But JHR was convinced international rail transport was inevitable and rather profitable as it encouraged tourism to the isolated country. Pearl Coast, a city west of the Juhwa Islands seemed like an ideal gateway for foreigners from the Northwestern mainlands to enter Sagal Province. Believing Sagal Province could have the potential to connect to the Western MRT World, negotiations were made to add twelve warp bullet train tracks underneath the JuhwaMetro tracks. Still concerned there weren't enough tracks for international services, the board increased the number of tracks to eighteen- eight on the upper level, and ten on the lower level. Tracks 13 (now 14A) and 14 (now 14B) had to split into two single-way platforms however as JuhwaMetro Lines 1 and 1 Express required very deep elevations and had to situate in the center of the station.

Fearing international train connections risked national security and source of cultural assimilation, the Islander Security Agency (ISA) urged JHR to implement strict immigration and emigration gates across all their infrastructures with outer-Juhwa access, including Sagal Grand Station. JHR oblidged, and in turn replicated airport security, separated lobbies and terminals, and created baggage claim zones with baggage carousels, causing visitors to confuse it as an actual airport.
