Silver Spring is a town located at R9 Station. It was originally founded by ariwcharles and taken over by LDShadowLord after Ari's departure from the server. LD left the server and the town went without a mayor for a while, upon his return he did not regain mayor status of the town. Instead, the town is now ran by thomasfyfe.
The town is home to the famous Creeperdome Spleef Arena where many tournaments have been held. It was also home to Cyan Systems until the company moved location to Whelburn. The Cyan Line ( C4 Silver Spring) also stops here.
Redevelopment
On October 26th, thomasfyfe proposed a takeover plan during the staff meeting which was accepted. The plan for Silver Spring will include redevelopment of existing buildings, roads and paths. Buildings will be made in a more consistent style and new buildings will be added to the town. The general plan is to bring Silver Spring back to life and as the powerful town it used to be.
If you have previously built in Silver Spring or know of a building that belongs to a current player, please contact thomasfyfe as soon as possible. This will help in sorting out building permissions.
Progress:
- The town's paths have been mostly re-organised.
- The land in the East of the town has been cleaned up.
- Town hall under construction.
Plans:
- To build an overground light railway system.
- To upgrade existing subway line(s).
- To build rail station/district providing opportunities for new rail lines.
- Refurbish existing skyscrapers - community project.
Transit
As part of the redevelopment process for the town, Silver Spring will re-organise its existing transit structure and plan ahead for future transit connections.
There will be three main stations in Silver Spring:
Silver Spring Local Transit Centre
The Silver Spring LT Centre will be a brand new station designed in mind to connect Silver Spring to the nearby towns and cities in the area. It will also serve as the main connection point for a planned metro system.

Silver Spring City Connection Centre
The Silver Spring CC Centre will reorganise existing connections in the city as well as provide a few extra platforms for any future transit connections.

Mandela Station
The existing Mandela Station, a joint transit hub between Silver Spring, Bluemont and True City, will continue to serve connections to towns and cities all across the server.
