South Eastern Cities (SEC), formerly known as the South Eastern Cities Corporation or South East Community of Mayors, is a majority democratic Metropolitan Planning Organization on the MRT server that strives to connect and help grow the cities in the southeastern part of the new, or Gamma, MRT world. It mainly focuses on cities that are less advanced. It was founded by VernCow, in April of 2016 and hopes to co-operate with the South-Southeastern Association and the Eastern Association of Serendipity Towns to form a larger and more convenient rail network.

Articles

Article 1 Government Structure

SEC considers itself to be a leaderless organisation. This means that SEC does NOT have a leader for each meeting, instead a "host" would be chosen between members of the SEC. If a host is chosen but is unwilling to host, he is allowed to transfer the job to another person in SEC who is willing to do so. Founders of the SEC do NOT have any special rights. Its just clarified there for historical references

Article 2 Proposal and Votes

Steps:

  • Every member is allowed to propose at a meeting.
  • The topic would be discussed through mumble.
  • After each proposal, members will have 2 days to show their support or object via this wiki page.
  • Once the 2 days is done voting will be closed, and any votes submitted after the closing time will NOT be counted in.
  • Majority wins.

Article 3 Rights

Every member of the SEC will have the following rights.

  • Freedom of speech
  • Freedom of the press aka wiki

(section under construction)

Article 4 Rules and Regulations

Members of the SEC are NOT allowed to:

  • Claim leadership of SEC
  • Perform any discriminative acts of Sex, Religion, Race, Language, Ethnicity, Heritage and LGBT status
  • Perform any offensive acts towards other members
  • Perform wiki edits to this page without notifying other members

Article 5 Admittance of new members

Qualifications of joining the SEC:

  • Own a town in the South East (map would be added later)
  • Willing to attend meetings
  • Be active on the MRT server.

Note: Town does NOT need to be councillor for you to join. If you would like to join SEC, leave a message on the talk page, and we will get to you as soon as possible. If you do not have wiki perms but would like to join, please /mail VernCow in game. He will get to you as soon as possible. Do NOT add your name on the list without permission.

SEC Rail

The SEC Rail is a planned rail that strives to connect all cities at the South East corner of the map. It hopes to connect with the railway plan of EAST to form a larger, bigger railway connection.

Meetings

1st meeting

1st meeting - Izumo (May 31st, 2016) Discussed political party of SEC, and future metro and highway plans.

Conclusion : Railway is confirmed, and would be running at the middle of the SEC highway and would be using carts instead of warp trains. However, if the SEC highway proposal is denied (which is highly possible because of the A30 at the East), the railway would be running independently underground.

2nd meeting

2nd meeting - Schusterlans (July 13th 2016)

Furthur discussed intercity rail plan, official map not confirmed yet. Highway vetoed. Federation discussed.

Conclusion: Railway might need to serve on a single line basis in order for it to serve all towns in the SEC. A likely compromise by TrainPro will be used, starting with a main line and adding another line in the future to connect other towns who have expressed interest. Confirmed election for the Federation for next meeting. SEC Highway vetoed by a majority of members present. The meeting was a train wreck, and the next meeting will likely occur over some place other than chat.
