TekTown (also named Tech Town by some) is a small and developing town situated at M26 along the Mesa Line. It is owned by ICTman1076 (Minecraft username ICTman1O76) and it is an ideal place for your shops etc.

History of TekTown

There isn't much of it. TekTown was founded by ICTman1076 in 2014 after being recommended to the server by jamess2912 and (primarily) Squidman. ICTman1076 decided to live with herobrianthebest until early september, when jamess2912 discovered M26 being free. Ownership signs were placed quickly, with a few modifications to the station door done first. Then with help from jamess2912 a carpark was created. A small road was soon put up (which was later expanded with the help of lalaboy67 and tarheelscouse) and TekTown was finally ready.

Government Policies

We believe in a people-run government. Therefore most of the policies detailed below are mostlly for the benifit of our population.

Tax

We hate charging taxes. However for builds over 16x16 blocks built after 1.1.2015 a monthly payment of 10% of what you bought the plot for will come into play. This may be waived by [X] rank only.

Idle Builds

To avoid builds cluttering the beautiful mesa landscape and taking up too much room, if a build that is under construction is idle for 1 month or more a monthly charge of $1 will be initiated. If this is unpaid for 2 months TekTown has the right to destroy the building. [XX] and above may waive this rule.

Mini Magna Carta

Similarly, the councillors are restricted to avoid you being made sad. We will not:

• Take action against something without a satisfactory reason
• Stretch the rules to anything but what is explicitly stated on this wiki page or other TekApproved sources
• Take money off you for no apparent reason
• Take land without permission or a reason.

If ANY staff member does abuse our Mini Magna Carta notify ICTman1076 IMMEDIATELY via [email protected] . We will take appropriate action.

Buildings

Like the rest of the server, BUILDINGS MAY NOT BE BUILT UPON TekTown WITHOUT THE EXPLICIT PERMISSION FROM PEOPLE RANKED XXX AND ABOVE (See Staff Ranks for more information). Building plots can be bought from rank XXX and above for fair prices.
