Mind our dust - In Construction

Welcome to the Land Prospector! A wiki page for finding potential spots for all sorts of potential future towns - and ideas - today!

Disclaimer: This is an unofficial page made by an MRT member to help newer members find a spot for a city.

Here's how it works:

  1. Find a few interesting spots in the list below - you can see it on the dynmap if you click on the link.
  2. Go find them using the travel directions from spawn and flying (/speed 10 given to trustees is especially useful here) and make sure they aren't claimed
  3. Make your mind up about what you want and DM Johngi to get the item on the list marked as "Claimed". (Make sure you've put a sign on the spot ingame!)
  4. 2 weeks after you have marked it as claimed, you will get a message from Johngi asking you how much you've built there. If you have built a few buildings in the spot, it will be taken off the list. If you've built very little, then the item will be marked "Claimed - No significant development". Make sure to build on it soon, because according to MRT rules, anyone can claim it after 2 weeks of a claim if there isn't any development! If you have not built anything or abandoned the claim, just DM Johngi and he will return it to "Unclaimed".
  5. If your item got marked as "No significant development" DM Johngi when you build a few buildings.

Epsilon Spots

These are spots within 18 km of spawn - they're closer to civilisation, so getting a connection to a nearby town should be easy and there may even be a local MPO to work with. However, since this part of the world has existed for some years ago, there may be less of these places left and they may be on worse, smaller ground than Zeta claims.

Zeta Spots

These are spots between 18 km and 36 km from spawn - in the uncharted wilderness only recently opened to the public. Some of these spots are close to existing civilisation but still wide open to development, meaning there's a lot of large good terrain which is very close to existing civilisation. Zeta also has plenty of wide oceans - with lots of islands - making it ideal for sea transport - and has newer, more exotic biomes (especially sea biomes - there's everything from icebergs to tropical coral filled oceans) due to the fact that it was opened after the server updated to 1.13.2.
