The Symphony of Lights is a 2016 attraction located in Hathnes. The attraction makes use of beacons and stained glass, making the light beam rainbow theme coloured. It is the first attraction on the MRT that makes use of 40 or more beacons.

Location

The Symphony of Lights is located in Hathnes, on the Hathnes lake on top of Gloucester Island, which is a man made island constructed in the middle of the Hathnes Lake on 6/12/16.

Planning

After looking for several attractions in Hong Kong, VernCow got an idea to use beacons to simulate the actual Symphony of Lights in Hong Kong. After consulting Baron, who said the project would be approved, construction began.

Construction

The project took a day to build, includes 40 beacons, and over 100 stained glass were placed in a particular order. After it was finished, construction of Gloucester Island began. It was calculated so the island would be roughly in the middle of the lake, just between the MRT Circle Line and the Golden Gate Bridge.

Status

The project is officially completed and is the landmark of Hathnes. When uploading the first photo of the Symphony of Lights, VernCow stated that as this is the landmark of Hathnes, it should be the only structure that makes use of the beacon and stained glass placements. He also said "Any forms of edits, imitation or "inspiration" will not be tolerated and will be reported to MRT Staff for investigation as plagiarism.", which still stands today.
