Kazeshima
Kazeshima went through Typhoon Akira while in the middle of a 10.4 earthquake. But the buildings and structures were so strong and fortified there were 0 deaths and 0 injuries.
The only thing that happened in Kazeshima was a fox on the roof of the Eumi District Office
Shenghua
Typhoon Akira passed directly through Shenghua, however due to imposed building safety regulations, the city experienced little damage. Public transport service was suspended. After a lightning strike hit the Nansei Oriental Pearl Tower, over-the-air television viewers were not able to receive broadcasts for about an hour, when TeleNansei, the state owned media company that currently has a monopoly on over-the-air broadcasting, switched to the secondary broadcasting tower in New Singapore. TeleNansei internet subscribers also reported minor connection issues. The storm gave the city a chance to successfully use Nansei-Gunto's emergency alert system for the first time, with alerts on television, radio, cellular networks, and the newly installed emergency siren in New Lansing Special District. These alerts were well-received by Shenghua's citizens as they gave citizens a good amount of time to prepare for the storm.
Wenyanga
something
Shahai
Although Typhoon Akira did not directly pass over Shahai island, its impact could still be felt, as overground public transport was shut down, and citizens leaving work early. A lightning strike hit the Nansei Pearl TV Tower, causing radio and television services to be out of commission until the antenna can be repaired, as Shahai is out of the broadcasting range of the secondary tower in New Singapore. This was also the first time the new early warning systems in Shahai were used, with relatively positive results on its effectiveness. Construction projects did not fare well against the storm though, with all deaths and injuries occurring on top priority construction sites that couldn’t be shut down without at least a week of advance notice.
Total dead: 23, Total injured, 178, Estimated cost: NG¥ 34.4 Million
