Valkorion314, then under the username jphgolf4321, was one of the first people to sign up for the first contest, where he debuted with "Midnight", placing 14th with 93 points. He entered the second contest with "Where It All Began", placing 25th with 41 points. In the following two contests, Valkorion314 continued placing in the bottom half of the final, with "The Beautiful Game" placing 14th and "Sunset Sonata" placing 13th. Beginning in the latter contest onward, jphgolf4321 was known as Valkorion314 following a username change.
