Victory Square
Victory Square is a shopping mall located in the South Beach district of Vermilion, Ward 7. It is built similar to the mall at G8 Orwyn Mall in the old world. It is a landmark of Vermilion, and has its own post code of VR7 2VV.
The mall opened on November 30, 2014. It is bounded by Driftveil Avenue, Lilycove Street, Victory Road, and Coronet Street.
Layout
The mall features five floors: four above ground and one basement. The above-ground floors are lettered A, B, C, and D, and each level features 18 shops each arrange in a ring around the center of the mall. Level A only has 16 shops, with shops A9 and A18 not existing to allow pedestrian access to Victory Road and Driftveil Avenue.
The basement features the Victory Square Transit Center (VSQ), a multimodal transit hub managed by the Vermilion Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
Transit
Victory Square Transit Center is served by regional buses, regional rail (RegionalConnect, CitiRail, and IntraRail), and the Vermilion Metro. There are 14 bus gates and 17 rail platforms in total. Local buses do not serve Victory Square because the access tunnels spur off the A-7 exit ramp. Once a bus leaves the transit center it must then enter the A-7.
Buses are split into Terminal West (colored green, gates W1-W9) and Terminal East (colored red, gates E1 to E5). Vermilion Metro Rail ("M" platforms) access is through Terminal West, RegionalConnect ("R" platforms) and IntraRail ("I" platforms) access points are through Terminal East, and CitiRail ("C" platforms) is accessible from either terminal as well as a dedicated entrance at street level.
