The Zephyr Peninsula Trail is a hiking trail between Antioch and Moramoa. It began construction on December 17, 2022, and completed construction on February 21, 2023. The trail was created to expand the opportunity for hiking and walking in the New World.
History
The Zephyr Peninsula trail was inspired by the Northern Trail on the Old World, as well as by long-distance trails in Europe and the United States. The trail began construction on December 17, and the section between Antioch and Peripotamia was completed that day. The trail finished construction and opened on February 21, 2023.
Route
The trail begins in northeastern Antioch, going east. It passes under the A1, then turns south, entering a savannah biome. The trail passes under RaiLinQ tracks, then continues through the savannah before re-entering the desert. Shortly after that, it enters Peripotamia. The trail heads east following sidewalks in Peripotamia before exiting. It hugs the side of some hills and passes underneath both BluRail and IntraRail tracks, entering a plains biome shortly to pass under the latter. The trail passes TwinLands on the north, intersecting with a path to the TwinLands RaiLinQ station. Heading east away from TwinLands, it shortly enters a forest biome and then a plains biome. It eventually reaches another savannah biome and its eastern terminus in Moramoa.
