Totem Beach is a small coastal town in Ward 6, on the coast of Lake 11 (Avenir Bay). It boasts clean air and water, as well as a fun, relaxed place to live and popular vacation spot. It was founded on March 29, 2019 by Foxwolf11, who wanted a break from his first town, Gryffin, because he didn't like the direction that it was going and he needed a fresh start.

A Fresh Start
March 29, 2019 - March 31, 2019
Foxwolf11 traveled west, through the snow biome and the great desert to the Savannah Line, which just opened two weeks prior and had already been bustling with action. Foxwolf11 traveled up and down the line multiple times, and came to the conclusion that he did not like any of the land on the line and thought it to be insufficient for his grand city that he was planning. He decided to travel east, towards the Estival Sea which he previously crossed. He built on another spot for about 20 minutes, then he abandoned the spot and traveled east once more. He landed on a coastal spot on a nice, quiet bay, about 3km south of Deadbush. He built a road with beautiful acacia trees in the middle, and then a pier which has been mostly demolished to house the Waterfront. He invited other people to build their franchises, and sold condos to gain publicity of his new town.
Quest for Councillor
April 1, 2019 - April 30, 2019
In early April, Totem Beach underwent a major expansion. A alleyway (Stratford Alley) was constructed, which Woorich999, hvt2011, ArizTrad, and CodyHM built their franchises on this alley, which boasts a 4m sidewalk. More condominiums were sold, and new buildings sprung out of the sand. Finally, a lighthouse was built, currently the tallest building in Totem Beach. Then, the Mayor's Mansion was built, which is Foxwolf11's main house. A flag area was also built, housing the flag of Totem Beach and the Vulpine Republic in a beautiful pool of fresh seawater. Transportation connectivity was improved, and then the town made its first bid for the rank Councillor.
Vickiposa responded to the first bid, and she tpa'd to check out the town. She came to the conclusion that the town was not ready for Councillor, because of the excess of unfurnished builds. While Foxwolf11 would have liked to get it approved, he agreed with her decision and went to work. He furnished some builds, notably the City Hall and Calaro Trading Co., and ended up being rejected again. He ended up being rejected one more time before being endorsed by Tom_Pairs and hvt2011
May 1, 2019 -
After he achieved the first rank for Totem Beach, Foxwolf11 set to work, aiming to aim the basic infrastructure and roads of Totem Beach, most notably finishing a waterfront project that contains a new hiking trail. A new marina center will be established north of the waterfront. After these improvements were put into action, he constructed a new tall building, the Totem Beach Library of Records.
The climate in Totem Beach is very interesting and unique. In the summer, temperatures can reach as high as 105F due to the surrounding desert to the west. However, the temperature can drop to low temperatures of 68F-75F due to the cold ocean to the east, and the wind from the extensive snow biome across the Estival Sea. In the colder months, the temperature is typically 55F-70F during the day, and 45F-55F during the night. Totem Beach is not susceptible to hurricanes and typhoons, as it does not get rainfall often, and the near ocean is cold. However, in the summer, it can get brief, torrential rains when flash floods are to be expected.
Climate Chart Coming Soon!!!
Totem Beach has a political system that consists of a mayor, a deputy mayor and three councillors. The councillors represent three districts of Totem Beach, and operate out of City Hall (50 Civic St).
In addition, Totem Beach is one of two cities currently in the Vulpine Republic, a state controlled by Foxwolf11. It maintains neutral in disputes not involved with it or its allies.
Generally, architecture in Totem Beach is with a modern theme, with high use of skylights and windows to save energy. It has some exceptions to this theme, for thematic reasons. It has moderately strict building guidelines and zoning restrictions (especially for large buildings), but not very strict like Evella.

Totem Beach is divided into a number of districts to improve the quality of the town. These districts are zoned into different zones to control what will go in that space. The mayor decided to take a more strict zoning stance after what had happened with Gryffin.
The first district of Totem Beach, Downtown is planned to be the central hub for tourism and economics. With relatively compact, vertical builds it will be small in footprint. It will be divided into two districts, Boardwalk and Financial.
Boardwalk is the first subdistrict of Totem Beach. It is centered around Bayside Blvd, and is a hub for tourism and relaxation. The Waterfront Park is the main attraction in this area, as well as City Hall and other government facilities.
This district will be up the hill from Boardwalk. It will consist of mainly tall skyscrapers, but a few other builds are planned. It will be accessible to the streetcar line being planned. It will contain the HQs for many VCORP franchises, as well as a central station.
Totem Beach highly encourages tourism, and we welcome tourists from everywhere. We do have rules on tourism though.
As of 05/06/2019 there is no good way to reach Totem Beach. However the best way is as follows:
1. Head to the -8500 X Coordinate
2. Head South from the coast of Lake 11
3. At the 12000 Y Coordinate, you're there
Totem Beach is not really well connected to other cities yet, as it is a small, new town in a developing area, but the Totem Beach City Government is working on ways to improve this. A heliport to Central City will be built, and it is planned to be on the MRT Desert Line extension. Also, (assuming the UCar plugin will be re-established) a road will be built to connect Totem Beach to Deadbush, Heampstead, and the Contiguous MRT Highway System. Please bear with us as we try to establish these means.
