Geocaching is a world-wide treasure hunt - people hide caches in locations around the world, and others find the caches, and explore the world as they do so. Geocaching on MRT is done in a similar way, using chests and books. Caches are usually discovered through Geocaching Centres.

Tips to find your first Geocache
These tips don't necessarily apply to real life Geocaches!
- Choose a cache rated 1 or 2 in difficulty.
- Use the Dynmap to scout out the cache location - find details such as the nearest station, landmarks and other things that may help you.
- The cache usually isn't at the co-ordinate stated - it's often a few blocks away. Look behind buildings, under things, and in other common hiding places. You shouldn't need to destroy anything to get to the cache.
When you've found your cache, sign the logbook, trade interesting items (don't just take them!), and leave the cache exactly as you found it. Welcome to the hunt!
