Rattlerville Old Town Airfield

Rattlerville Old Town Airfield (RVO) is Rattlerville's third air facility, located in Rattlerville's Old Town district and the current record holder for smallest airfield on the server.

Lore:

One fateful morning, a solitary resident named Steve who lived on the outskirts of Old Town got a knock on his door. he opened it up to see a few official-looking men in suits. These men made him an offer he couldn't refuse.

To make a long story short, these people were from the Rattlerville city government and used their eminent domain powers to turn Steve's house into an airport terminal building for a new air facility in the north of the city. Not wanting to lose the humble dirt abode he and his trusty sheep Steve Jr had made their home for many years, he successfully negotiated that he could keep his property and live in the terminal (which is only open from 8 AM to 8 PM each day to allow Steve some quiet and privacy to sleep) while selling cooked mutton to hungry travelers (not from Steve Jr of course) at a profit. He has regretted signing that contract ever since. Steve's little hut hasn't changed much. That is, except for the fully operational gate, airplane, and runway in his backyard. And the helicopter parked on his roof. And the wheelchair pulley lift that Steve's totally-licensed engineer friend Jerry created after the city government complained about wheelchair access to the helipad a few weeks later.
