Slimeitis is a disease thought to have existed for a long time, however, the main example of Slimeitis was brought about by RainbowSlimee.

Symptoms

The symptoms of Slimeitis are:

  • More motivation to build, however less motivation to keep building 1 town.
  • A severely increased amount of towns created by the infected. (Calculated with the Pascal Model)
  • A feeling of unhappiness when viewing their towns, even if the town is well-built and deserves a good rank.

(Note that the 2 unbolded symptoms are not always present and that the 1 bold symptom is all that's required for a diagnosis.)

The three graphs under this text show the 3 potential pathways that Slimeitis could partake in.

Stalling Slimeitis

The patient stops making new towns and thus stalls the increase of towns made. However, this is not immune to change.

Falling Slimeitis

The patient does rollbacks on their abandoned towns to make their town-making addiction stall and eventually fall.

Staff Intervented Slimeitis (SIS)

Staff prevent them from making new towns and recommend the rollback of many towns. Given in the form of Town Claiming Bans (TCBs) and limited to Severe Slimeitis.

Potential Causes

Slimeitis can be initiated through varying means. Examples of such causes are:

  • Past criticism forwarded at their towns.
  • Failed attempts at getting towns to Councillor, Mayor, Senator, etc.
  • Low self-esteem
  • Boredom caused by playing too much or innovating too little.

History

The infection existed even at the beginning of the MRT, though it is not known who was the first carrier of the disease. It grew relative to the number of people on the MRT at that time, as inevitably, some people would make a large number of towns because of their lack of motivation, though most of the cases weren't too severe. However, the worst case ever was RainbowSlimee's case.

Cases

This only accounts for 50-100 players of MRT. This isn't a proper model and thus isn't exact.

The Pascal Model is used for calculating all cases of Slimeitis. The calculation is as follows:

N of towns / N of months on MRT

1 - 1,5 | Minor Slimeitis

1,51 - 2 | Moderate Slimeitis

2,01 and over | Severe Slimeitis

Critical Slimeitis only appears when the patient's situation gets so bad, that intervention by staff is required (f.e. a town building ban)

Critical Slimeitis

RainbowSlimee - The only one to achieve it, obtained a claiming ban on the November 2023 GSM (score was 2.45 at that time | right now 1.81)

Severe Slimeitis

Moderate Slimeitis

Minor Slimeitis
