The Gold Line is a 15 quad-block mile light rail line that runs between Clairmont and Ashmore. The line is named after real-life Metro LA Gold Line, which it runs alongside for most of its route. It is one of the 3 lines in the Victoria Transportation Authority Rail system and is operated by the Victoria County Transportation Authority (Metro).
The Gold Line largely follows the right-of-way of the former BluRail Victoria Line. Passenger service ended in 2017; freight-only service ended by March December 2017. Several Gold Line stations are built in the same location as BluRail Victoria Line stations, although no original station structures have been reused.
